good job sony, you proved that you can handle beautiful looking games, TOO BAD that not everyone cant enjoy it because 1080p is *****ing expensive.

Dude theres almost no difference between 1080p and 1080i unless you sit like 4 feet away from the tv. If you dont have the money to buy a 1080p tv, then buy a 720p or 1080i, or 480p or whatever you want. You can play it on any tv.

1080i has the image clarity of 1080p IF the deinterlacing is good.
But the difference between 30FPS and 60FPS is dramatic.
In full motion sequences, 60FPS show very smooth playback. You have get 60FPS with 1080i because 1080i@60FPS is the same as 1080p@30FPS.
You have to see it in action to get a good comparison.

personally i think 720p is still good enough at this point. I don't think any broadcasters are airing television content at 1080p, and I know i've read of devs saying that memory limitations were going to limit 1080p use.

It's really easy to see when it switches into game mode or cinematic mode.
also, you can't see anything about 1080p on a youtube video.

if you are so intelligent what is the difference?
Suppose I took 2 still screen captures, one at 1080i(2frame merge deinterlaced) and one at 1080p, what would let you tell them apart?
