So what's Atari and Eden Games up to this time? This 'Epilogue' trailer comes as the viral sort, much like how Cloverfield and Blair Witch Project were presented. The video is made to look like it was captured via some in-game video cam, taking us through various locales in the game. It doesn't have much of the same feel as Cloverfield and Blair Witch did, but hey, at least we can see Atari is trying. They did after all went through all the trouble to re-work Alone in the Dark for the PS3, yes?

Via press release, Atari's announced that Alone in the Dark: Inferno will be heading out to retail come November 18. To make that two-or-so weeks of waiting that much more bearable, here's some even good news: the demo for the game becomes available today via the PlayStation Network!

Well, they always said good things come to those who wait. After completing all of the fine-tuning and further enhancement in Alone in the Dark's PS3 version, Atari and Eden Studios were prompted to give the game a bit of a name change (err, name extension, rather). Most of the changes in the PS3 version are gameplay tweaks, but content-wise, it'll remain the same as all its counterparts ...except for one so-called "epic" bit during Episode 6. While preemption is the best cure, it's good to know that there's always remedy to fall back on to make up for that lack of preemption. In the case of Alone in the Dark's (PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii) developers, that's what they're doing with the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. Finding the Xbox 360 version problematic, they improved the PS3 version; and finding that the PS3 version is now way better than the 360 one, they're patching the latter to keep up with the new and improved PS3 version. There's all the love in the family.

Atari and Eden launched Alone in the Dark earlier last month for all its planned platforms except for the PlayStation 3. The Sony console's version of the horror title was shelved for almost half a year and it's due out in fall of this year. Details on the launch window after the jump.

Atari has finally announced that the Xbox 360, PC, Wii, and PS2 versions of Alone in the Dark have finally gone gold.  In addition, the publisher of the game also gave a general time frame on when we can expect to see the PlayStation 3 version of this title on retail shelves. Feeling bummed out about the long wait for Alone in the Dark to hit the PS3? Nour Polloni, the game's producer, recently revealed that the delay is due to framerate issues. Alone in the Dark, Atari's final massive, mainstream videogame project 4 years in the making, will be releasing in less than a month, we're told from a recent interview with Infogrames' head honcho, Phil Harrison. Those who are still tossing dimes deciding whether they'd pick up a copy or not for their PlayStation 3s, Xbox 360s, Wiis, or Windows rigs may love what's coming before that. Atari has plans to release demos for before their version's respective release dates.
