Time for our monthly dosage of analyst guesstimates.Ahead of the official sales numbers of the NPD Group, both analyst firms Wedbush Morgan (with posterboy Michael Pachter) and EEDAR predict that the Xbox 360 whooped the PlayStation 3 for the month of September. Big surprise. In Japan, it was already reported that the Xbox 360 outsold the PlayStation 3 for the entire month of September, thanks to the massive price cut that Microsoft introduced. No shocker if the same thing happened in North America. EEDAR believes that the Xbox 360 only outsold the PlayStation 3 by about 105k for the month, while Pachter is less optimistic, saying it had outsold the PS3 by as much as 125k. Strange, knowing that he's been all gung ho for the Sony console before. As for the Wii, well, it's also not surprising that no one seems to be worried about it. Anyway, here are the numbers they figure the consoles sold last month: EEDAR:

I would hardly call 33% "whooped". Especialy since most of that was stock replenishment for a disco'd SKU.
Now the 88% between the 360 and the Wii...that's WHOOPED!

"I would hardly call 33% "whooped". Especialy since most of that was stock replenishment for a disco'd SKU."
So you're saying nobody bought the old stock? Or maybe you're saying retailers bought more than they could sell. Or maybe you are a Wii tard. Yeah, that one.
Stop making excuses. This month the PS3 got whooped. But then again, I don't care about sales, you do.
The XBOX 360 is easily the best value. Best games, online, price, HD, yep.

"So you're saying nobody bought the old stock?"
For many large retailers. That is correct. The stock was either sold back to Microsoft or sent off through their normal disco'd channels. As I've proven many times in the past, you are ignorant of all things retail.
"Or maybe you're saying retailers bought more than they could sell."
1. that happens all the time.
2. They don't have crystal balls. There would have been no way for them to know that MS was going to kill off SKUs. That is not something a business comunicates as they would then lose sales.
"Or maybe you are a Wii tard. Yeah, that one."
Yeah, that's it! A "Wii tard" is also a Sony fanboy. STFU already. How many times are going to make yourself look like a complete idiot?

Not for people looking to buy a bluray player. Then the 360 becomes the *****tiest value. It all depends on what a person wants. There is no "value" set in stone. But then again I don't expect a dumb child like yourself to be CAPABLE of looking at the big picture. That's reserved for the rest of us with brains in our skull.
I wonder what the 720 will bring to us. I had a blast at the Zero Hour party for the 360 release. It would be sweet to get to go to the next one.
