Army of Two Video Game: info and details on Aggro System - Image 1

A few months ago, Electronic Arts revealed a new trailer that showed the Aggro system in Army of Two. Aggro system? Isn't that an MMO thing? Not anymore. In Army of Two, enemies are gonna hunt you down. Hunt you down to Chinatown.

On the top center of the screen, you'll see the Aggrometer, which shows who's pulling in more attention from enemies. You can use this to your advantage; if all your enemies have their attention focused on your partner, you're virtually invisible.

So what pulls the attention of your enemies? It depends on who's shooting at them, for one thing. It also depends on the kind of weapon and armor you have. The heavier the arsenal, the more attention you get.

However, just because the aggro system targets the guy with the bigger arsenal, it also makes room for self-preservation. The AI basically adjusts to target the larger threat. Meaning if you're right beside an enemy, he'll notice you even if your partner has all the aggro on the field.

Army of Two will be released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 4. That's less than a week from now. Have you found your buddy yet?
