Army of Two - Image 1

Well now, here's quite a pleasant surprise! Army of Two is getting a sequel... err, ok, maybe that wasn't much of a surprise (since it was already planned for last year), however, what is surprising here is that, while the sequel is now confirmed for the PS3 and Xbox 360, a spin-off PSP version has also been announced!

That's a nice change from hearing all these other console games getting DS spin-offs. *coughPrinceOfPersiacough*

Electronic Arts' promise last week to announce an EA Montreal game today is made good with this most recent press release. They've formally confirmed Army of Two: The 40th Day. Yeap, Karl B., you were right on the money!

The story takes place in Shanghai, China, where a new threat jumps into the fray. Salem and Rios are back and they need to work together to get through hell once more, and along the way, hopefully uncover the truth of the 40th Day.

Other than this, no details were given about the specific platform versions (will there be PS3-PSP connectivity a la Resistance2/Retribution?). The current release window for the game (on all three platforms) is Winter of this year.

 » yeah

I bought it... went through it like twice maybe a bit more... I dunno. It was OK. The engine was great and the mechanics good but the story and characters were weak.
