Fans of Assassin's Creed are gonna get a double whammy this month. Not only will November see the launch of Assassin's Creed II for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, but there will also be a novel incoming to give you your fill of Ezio and the men under the white hoods.

With the games release date just around the corner, Ubisoft has unvelied a brand new developer diary of Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) entitled "Home Sweet Home" in which they discuss the new features of the Animus, new details on assassin's villa and the games massive environment.

Ubisoft has rolled out a brand new trailer of Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC), this time focusing on the games different factions. Take a look at how this factions will help the games new protagonist Ezio complete various objectives on his quest for vengeance.

Having sold 2.5 million copies on its first month and hitting eight in 2009, Alta-yeer and Assassin's Creed definitely set the bar high for the trilogy. But as early as now, Ezio and Assassin's Creed II are expected to do much better, with pre-orders up 10-20% from their predecessor. According to Mike Hickey of Janco Partners, Assassin's Creed II will do better than the first, and it'll give a much-needed boost for Ubisoft and its Q3 numbers.

For those who just can't put the controller down until they've secured the platinum, Trophies for the PS3 version of Assassin's Creed 2 have now been confirmed. With the majority of the set being bronze (34/51) you'll be raking them in in no time. On closer inspection, some of the 15 silvers and the only gold Trophy don't sound too difficult.

If "graphics" is the name of the game, then Ubisoft won't shy away from the opportunity to shine, especially with what they've done with Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC). In fact, they're so proud of their work that they took real-life photos and placed them side-by-side with their in-game counterparts. You be the judge.
