We guess we don't have to remind you regarding the recent clash between the video game industry and the different rating boards such as the British Board of Film Classification.

As a further response to recent developments, BBFC launched a new website dedicated to informing parents about video games appropriate for their children.

Called Parents BBFC, the said site gives out information about the ratings U, PG, and 12A among others as well as the corresponding content that fall in those categories. It also lists all the video games rated by the BBFC and detailed explanation why the titles received such ratings.

"This is particularly relevant in the area of video games, where not all parents are as technology literate as their children. We have included all games, including '18' rated games, on the site because we know that parents come under a lot of pressure to buy the latest big selling title", said BBFC Director David Cooke.
