Battlefield: Bad Company (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) is set to come out a few hours from now. Apart from the bad-ass action we're expecting to see in-game, what we're also looking forward to see is how the conversion rate turns out.See, Electronic Arts has just announced today that the title's demo has just hit over 1.5 million downloads on the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network. And that's just within two weeks after it was dropped. If the download stats are any indication, then it looks like EA has hit another blockbuster with this one. We'll be sure to bring you updates as soon as we get them. Buy: [Battlefield: Bad Company (Xbox 360), (PS3)] |

» One of PSN's best demos, easily.
The demo is excellent by itself. You're given a taste of the online multiplayer; you are offered a chance to gain ranks and unlock a few extra weapon selections through ranked play; the gameplay itself is very impressive, visually and technically; and, the demo's offering of vehicles (heavy & light tanks, jeep, attack boat, and an attack chopper) definitely offer variation in how you play.
Short version: Buy the game and support the publishers, a certain win-win situation.

» oh thank god
I must say i was extremely worried, seeing as EA was developing (publishing... ? i don't know which...) it. Usually a game with EA on the seal reaps of a horribly average game. BUT recently they have been plucking the right strings and have been creating games that could possibly be huge blockbusters. I'm also looking forward to dead space... it looks beautiful.

» I didn't really like the demo.
I didn't really like the demo.
I thought the destructable environments was going to be a big deal, but the demo didn't really take advantage of it at all.
And the destruction seemed very preset...
Also, I only really got a good play around with destruction on multiplayer, and on that, the destruction lagged, well it actually happened before the rocket hit it...
And everything else seemed pretty average...
I don't often buy FPSs and since the demo didn't really appeal to me, I don't think I'll be picking this up any more...
So really, because of this demo, I have been pushed away from buying it... way to go EA...

Well, I loved the demo so I'll definitely be picking this up. Though I must say I was going to be boycotting this title when the early "rumors" were floating around about EA nickel and diming us for in-game weapons.

» Hihi
This game has EVERYTHING you need.
See, you can destroy (almost) everything in the game.
Don't wanna make a walk? Blow up a wall.
Don't want to enter through the door? Don't worry, just blow up a short side of the house.
The sounds, the weapons.. All just amezing.
And the demo also gives you a taste of the Single- AND Multiplayer mode.
You can unlock 3 weapons in the Demo version. (Since you need to have 140000000 exp points to get to the next level in the Demo)
I really suggest to buy this game... I might buy it after a few monhts, not now since I'm going on vacation!
Anyway adios amigos!!!
