Short but sweet update.

Take-Two Interactive is planning to release BioShock 2 (Xbox 360, PS3) in 2009. Oh, you say you already got all that from the title alone and I'm wasting your time with filler text? Why, yes, I am.

The announcement was given in the company's financial results in an open statement by Chief Executive Officer Ben Feder:

We're excited about our 2009 pipeline, which will include [many titles]…as well as new offerings from such powerful franchises as BioShock, Mafia and the 2K Sports roster.

I'd have preferred a more specific date than a 12-month period though. For all we know, it'd be released December next year. You say I'm being a buzzkill? Why, yes, I am. It's my Christmas spirit showing.
