Halo and Blu-ray -- together? Yes, you are not imagining that first sentence. Halo will indeed be on Blu-ray, through the Halo Legends anime project.

Even though it did fix the issues caused by PS3 firmware 3.00, the release of firmware 3.01 also led to reports of Blu-ray drive errors from those who updated. Sony says it's not the firmware that's causing the issues, though.

In case you've backed yourself into a mental corner, forgetting that Sony has more businesses than just PlayStation, then snap out of it. The massive conglomerate has many, many other businesses under that big colorful umbrella and they're showing some corporate synergy with this latest offering. Select Sony Pictures releases on Blu-ray will include a digital copy of the same movie that you can transfer to your PSP.

We've heard of the movie plans and of the novel, but this is something new. Sony and DC/ Wildstorm Comics have partnered together to create a six-issue mini-series based comic on the God of War franchise. If the prediction of Taiwan-based optical disc drive (ODD) makers are correct, then we just might see a drop in the production cost of Blu-ray disc players. According to their forecast, the media player will drop from US$ 99.99 to as much as US$ 50 by the year 2010.

It has been a while since we last had an update on Watchmen: The End is Nigh, I was thinking maybe the end really was nigh and Dr. Manhattan shpluffed everyone out like popcorn. But from this new update, the Watchmen are far from out of the scene - parts 1 and 2 of Watchmen: The End is Nigh will be included in the Blu-ray release of "Watchmen: Director's Cut." Just a few more weeks and the English version of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete - which I can confirm includes Japanese audio - will finally be released in North America.
