Darn, some times it's though to be a resident of the only french province of north america :'(. The site is in english only so they always write: "excluding québec" in the little notes of everything like that without french versions, :'( Why can't they just let us participate?? Why should I need to participate in french! :@ :'(

righ now blue ray is slightly ahead and the market is ambiguous. I'd hate to get into that market now.

How do you figure bluray is slightly ahead? More standalone hd dvd players are sold every month than bluray players? The only wildcard bluray has is the ps3 but most people probably use it for games. I've never seen bluray players in the top amazon 100, but hd dvd is always on the list. Not to say that amazon is the only store that counts, but they do count a lot, and for a while now the HD DVD add-on for the 360 has been in the top 25. Paramount and Dreamworks jumped ship. All I'm saying is don't count HD DVD out ... Transformers is also gonna be a great seller, I know that when that movie comes out is probably when I'll buy my HD DVD player. Bluray is also gonna anger a lot of people whith it's new copy protection like the one in Rise of the Silver Surfer, and the fact the the movies are region encoded also sucks.

More movies! Great! Who hoo! But does that make HD-DVD better than Blu-ray? No...
I don't give a damn about free movies, i just want this god damn format war to end.

technically speaking bluray is better, no doubt ... more storage. However I can't understand why HDDVD movies get better reviews in picture quality. Bluray movies are darker and more fuzzy. Look up side by side reviews of the movie on both formats. Makes me think that all that extra storage space is used to sucker people in.
