Brothers In Arms: Hell's HighwayGearbox Software has just released a 13-minute video preview of the the gameplay for their FPS Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway. Besides just being a simple demo, it also has a commentary featuring the historical and military director of the game, Colonel Antol, and the president of Gearbox Software, Randy Pitchford. With Pitchford at the controller, Antol then explains what's going on.

As the video starts, we see the lead character Squad Leader Mat Baker of the 101st Airborne Division. The scene is set in Holland in September 1944 during the largest airborne invasion in history, Operation Market Garden.

As the story progresses and the lead character joins his men, Antol explains how everything in the game was made to look exactly as it had on that very same day in 1944, at the very same spot, and he adds that these factors makes the game one of the most authentic World War II games since the entire battlefield and all encounters have been faithfully recreated.

In the meantime, Pitchford explains the controls that will allow players to give out orders to his squad. In the game video, he goes on to explain how different "postures" drive the AI of your men. As they play through the game, he also notes that they are using a next-gen innovation known as the "FPS Actor" where the gun on the screen isn't just a picture that is attached to a disembodied camera, but is actually part of the full-functional character that you control.

This is a highly-recommended watch for those who wish to know more about this game which is due to be released on the Xbox 360 and the PS3.

Just one comment. Is this the real footage from Gameplay ?! The game looks awesome, but the FRAMERATE SUX A LOT. Very Low at most of time on the Demo trailler. I will play it again to see if it's not my sore eyes...But i saw a BAD, VERY BAD frame rate. Inaceptable is the right word.
