Ó

Remember the Metal Gear Solid 4 demo that was reported over at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show? While it was a relief that this demo reiterated on the game being a PS3 exclusive, we imagine that you guys - much like us - were wondering: Where's the accompanying footage? And that's where this snippet takes us.

We've just managed to pick up a gameplay video of Konami's MGS4 over at CES uploaded by PunchJump This latest segment throws us into a rooftop firefight between Solid Snake and several unidentified shooters. The grainy YouTube quality aside, those textures seem to be looking as photo-realistic as ever. Care to see for yourself? The video's available for your ogling pleasure below. Enjoy!

 » wow...

not only the gameplay is fantastic, texture, lightning wow everything... that's happens when a developer only effort in just one console and use the power of the console without looking the weekness of the other console...

just had to be on youtube..

I dont understand tho. This one guy from konami said that there most likely wont be a demo on PSN because a lot has changed since the last demo. But you think about it and there still using the same demo! Why dont they just put this demo on PSN?? Dosnt make sense at all.

   Re: Karuto - 2008-01-09
 » No

They are definitely not using the same demo. Think about it for a second: the gap between E For All and CES 08 is 3 months. A lot can definitely change in those months, especially considering if those same developers are working 5-6 days a week, 40+ hours. I'm sure the reason behind the lack of a demo on the PSN is that this is to allow MGS4 a large marketing campaign in that they shove the experience into the hands of the people most capable of spreading the word -- the publishers and journalists, among other people. It may be rather unfortunate that we won't be getting the demo, but I'm sure a lot of people will agree with me that MGS4 can't be enjoyed in small bursts, but most allow one to partake in the entire experience without any type of halting involved. It's the same reason why I never played the MGS2 demo.

I wouldn't mind a beta test of the Online mode, and it isn't out of the question considering people in Japan are experiencing it right this moment. We can only put our hands together and pray.

   Re: Eclipze_ - 2008-01-10
 » Nope

Japan people actually arent experiencing anything at this moment (not anymore) cause the beta is over, and obviously the game hasent released yet.

This is the same demo shown at E for All, the demo looks exactly like the last. That is the area before the cut-scene is shown, or before the part where the flying bird things show up. Trust me (not trying to sound mean but) I already know about metal gear, and your right it cant be enjoyed in small bursts.. SOmTiMeS.. Because if you look at the demo they've been showing it looks like a pretty good small burst.

So still it dosnt make sense at all, at least when you actually listen to what the guy from konami said (his reasons for the demo not being release).

I hope I dont get hell for this.. but this kinda feels like its lending from Gears of war just a litttttttle bit. But still, this looks freaken fantastic. Cant wait to get my greedy little mitts on this game!

   Re: Eclipze_ - 2008-01-10
 » Well

lol I wont give you hell, but.. I think the reason why you think its like gears of war is because its third person. Obviously the aiming would be the same or similar (for almost all third person games). Thats kinda like saying Resistance reminds me of Haze.. just cause there first person shooters.
