Xbox Live might have gotten their Double XP Weekend for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) earlier, but now it's the PlayStation Network's turn. Not only will there be a Double XP Weekend to look forward too, but there's actually going to be a week-long promo period to bag some extra stuff.

Double XP weekend starts on Friday (Sept. 19) and ends on Sunday. However, as early as Thursday, Call of Duty 4 Week already begins. Starting Septemeber 18, you can purchase the Variety Map Pack from PSN for only US$ 4.99. The price drop is only effective until the September 25, so better make up your mind real quick.

Robert Bowling of Infinity Ward also reminds gamers that the Play With Devs event is on Friday - this Friday - at 4 p.m. PT, so better keep a watchful eye on your PSN friends list!
