Street Fighter 4 costume DLC - Image 1

Capcom has laid out its timetable for the North American release of the alternative costume packs that'll act as the first batch of DLC for Street Fighter IV (PS3, 360). Each pack will be US$ 4, except for the discounted combo pack - which, incidentally, hasn't been dated yet - that contains all of the costumes.

Here's what you can get and when they'll be available:
  • February 17: Brawler Pack will include alternate costumes for: Zangief, E.Honda, Rufus, El Fuerte and Abel.
  • February 24: Femme Fatale Pack will include alternate costumes for: Chun-Li, Cammy, Sakura, Rose and C.Viper.
  • March 3: Shoryuken Pack will include alternate costumes for: Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Gouken and Dan.
  • March 10: Shadowloo Pack will include alternate costumes for: Seth, M.Bison, Sagat, Balrog and Vega.
  • March 17: Classic Pack will include alternate costumes for: Guile, Dhalsim, Fei-Long, Blanka and Gen.
The thought of paying for costumes right at launch can be understandably off-putting, but don't worry. There's free stuff too in the form of the Championship Mode expansion pack which adds two new point systems, enhanced grade-based matchmaking, and a replay mode.

I like Capcom a LOT, they've impressed me with their games, but I don't like DLC that costs $4 each for clothes.. $4 per pack I mean.

Expansion pack? More like stuff that they knew wouldn't make it for release so it's a free dl after the game comes out. I don't have a problem with that, but if they're trying to package it as a "free expansion, our gift to you" that just adds insult to injury on top of this release day DLC crap. And their costumes no less, $4 for 5 costumes.

GTFO Capcom
