If you have the 20 gig PS3 then this is a quarter of your harddrive space. If more games start to do this then you will see some major problems with storage space for some people.

I really don't see the problem with the 20 mins simply cause its not like its harming the game in anyway. People have been waiting for this game for several months now. 20 more mins isn't going to kill anyone I believe.
Also if your a PC gamer then this is should not be a problem for you gamers.

now, if you really wanna break down hd video, you don't need 50 gigs of disk space for an HD video. you can fit an HD movies on a dual layer DVD, you bough that expensive player, and are spending double for your disks so that you can have 75 hours of extra features.'

the consumer does not want it, the consumer wants simplicity!!!! why do you think the Wii is so successful? Microsoft is trying to find a balance between high-specs for the hard-core and user-friendliness for the casual (they aren't doing a great job but they recognize the need at least)
this may hurt, but - the future is not bluray, the future is digital distribution, which will not take up 50+gb of space.

This is what I do understand. Your compressed H.264 burned to DVD movies look like ABSOLUTE CRAP on my 47" and 60" TVs. Let me repeat that....looks like CRAP! That has nothing to do with any understanding on my part. With that said, the same compressed movie looks fine on smaller screens.

This is what I do understand. Your compressed H.264 burned to DVD movies look like ABSOLUTE CRAP on my 47" and 60" TVs. Let me repeat that....looks like CRAP! That has nothing to do with any understanding on my part. With that said, the same compressed movie looks fine on smaller screens.

This is a console, not a PC. I hate PC gaming because you have to constantly upgrade your system to play the latest games. I have always preferred consoles because you dont have to worry about this. I think they had to do this because the blu ray laser in the PS3 is too slow to get the data out of the disk fast enough.

How about Uncharted. Besides the first load at the start, this game has virtually no load times so there really isn't any excuse for it. Seems like a port game to me, fashioned for the 360 with no optimization for Playstation 3 forcing you to use up resources.

You do realize the game runs much faster on PS3 and was also built from the ground up. Therefore the PS3 version is actually more optimized than the 360 counterpart. If anything, the 360 version is a port of the PS3 version, the game was intended to be a PS3 exclusive from the beginning.
