Taboo of Black Eyed Peas to play Vega in Street Fighter movie - Image 1It was previously revealed that half-Chinese actress Kristin Kreuk of Smallville fame will be filling in the role of Chun-Li in the upcoming Street Fighter live action film. Joining her will be several other notable actors as Capcom has revealed further details regarding the cast of the new film.

The story will concentrate on fan-favorite Chun-Li who will be played by Kreuk. Michael Clark Duncan, Neal McDonough, and Taboo of Black Eyed Peas will join her and round out the cast for the upcoming movie adaptation of the hit video game series.

The new Street Fighter movie is one of the projects Capcom has planned to celebrate its 20th anniversary of the franchise. This summer spells the first of many feature projects as gamers in Japan will finally get a taste of the new Street Fighter 4 title for the arcades.

Here's the line-up of our real life Street Fighters put together for the silver screen so far:
  • Chun-Li: Kristin Kreuk
  • Balrog: Michael Clarke Duncan
  • M. Bison: Neal McDonough
  • Vega: Taboo
  • Charlie Nash: Chris Klein

Where's Jean Claude Van Dame? Oh yeah his career is over.

 » seriously...

Yea, no kidding...he's done.

That said, I'd love to see it anyway. If Stallone and Arnold can do it, why not Jean Claude?

Not to hate on Kristin, but she does not have Chung Li's body build that all of us have grown to love for over a decade.

it's ok i think all they can do to minimized the budget making the movie is to cover her legs using pillows or something so they'll look large enough

They have plenty of time to beef her up and give her the thighs necessary. Hell, if they need to, they'll even give her padding for the bewbs. I mean, Chun-Li's outfit did go up to her neck. But even then, some artist renderings of Chun-Li had her breasts smaller, so that doesn't really matter, so long as she has the physique.

Big fan of Neal McDonough after Band of Brothers, so I think he'll play a great M.Bison (not as great as Raul Julia, since he literally carried that film on his own, but still great). Michael Clarke Duncan is a surprise, since he's a great actor himself, but at least they're going the extra mile here.

I think we'll be pleasantly surprised, honestly.

Yeah, he's got my vote as M. Bison as well. Especially loved him in his latest role in Tin Man.
