Star Trek Online - Image 1As many of you already know, Cryptic Studios is the developer working on Champions Online and Star Trek Online. Some of you probably already know that these games are being designed to appear both on the PC and the Xbox 360.

Now here's something you probably don't know about yet: Star Trek Online and/or Champions Online might be getting a PS3 port.

It's all just speculation so far, but one solid fact is that Cryptic Studios is looking to hire a full time PS3 Engine programmer. The help wanted sign went up on Craigslist last Friday (November 14), describing part of the job as "extending existing systems to adapt to the ever-changing needs of a massively multiplayer game."

As far as I know, Champions and Star Trek are the only two projects on their plate right now, so the natural conclusion is that one or both of these MMOs are getting a port to the PlayStation 3. What else could you use a PlayStation 3 programmer for? (if you're a 360 fanboy, please refrain from answering that).
