Take the good with the bad, as they say, and the same still holds true with the New Year: Sega has just announced that their upcoming survival-horror game, Condemned 2: Bloodshot, will be delayed for a month (although the game's already in it's alpha phase). Condemned 2 will now be released on March next year. |

Ethan Thomas has been through a lot. In Monolith Productions' 2005 release Condemned: Criminal Origins, he had to kill more than 200 people. That's expectedly left him feeling a bit down and disturbed, so when he's called back to action in Condemned 2: Bloodshot, what does he do?
That's right. Kill some more. Of course, his targets may only be hallucinations that have been made up by Ethan himself, but they still pack a mean wallop. That's why it's up to players to help Ethan use the arsenal of firearms, blunt instruments and the all-new fighting system in Condemned 2: Bloodshot so he can survive. For a peek at what players, and Ethan, will be up against in Condemned 2: Bloodshot, check out the game's debut trailer below. Oh, and watch out for the amazing disappearing zombie head at the 00:15 mark. Monolith Productions' Condemned 2: Bloodshot for the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 hit stores next year. Fans of the first Condemned title Condemned: Criminal Origins should be thrilled to know that Monolith Productions has a lot in store for them in the new Condemned 2: Bloodshot for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Judging by the game details revealed in an interview with Monolith Production's Senior Producer Dave Hasle, Condemned 2: Bloodshot now offers several ways of roughing up strangers as well as weapons choices. It's not hard to imagine a billiard cue stick being used as a weapon, but a cue ball? According to Hasle, he's been using the cue ball a lot to stun opponents. Smacking cue balls against another's head does sound pretty painful, but also a lot of fun. There's also a lot of other new fighting mechanics added to the second Condemned title. These include fist fights, a combo system, an attack chain system and a wider range of selectable weapons that can be picked up and used at a moment's notice. What can we say? Condemned 2 now looks as if it's really coasting the same waters as Manhunt 2. We just hope that it won't encounter the same level of controversy as Manhunt 2 did. Check out the entire interview in the Read link! |
