DJ Hero - Image 1

If you wanna be the star of the party, then you gotta pony up some hard cash. That seems to be the message Activision is sending their European patrons awaiting the new DJ Hero (PS3, Xbox 360). UK retailer ShopTo has divulged to Eurogamer that the price point at which the game will release is at a cold GB£ 107.99 (US$ 177.70).

The retailers seem to be taking action themselves, however, as ShopTo has cut the price to GB£ 94.85 (about US$ 156). Cheaper, but still steeper compared to the Guitar Hero + peripheral bundle at GB£ 70 at launch.

Apart from ShopTo, HMV also disagrees with Activision's price point and so is "going with its own price on this," choosing to peg the tag at GB£ 99.99. In the US, DJ Hero wis offered for US$ 120, or GB£ 70.

But seriously, all this 'Hero' crap is getting out of hand. Bring on Bagpipe Hero.

They should have a Bonnie Tyler Hero, where she sings that song when you win the game
