IGN has uploaded a pair of new Dark Sector videos, and we've got them here today for your viewing pleasure. Both videos feature the same footage, but Steve Sinclair, project lead for Dark Sector, provides a running commentary on the second vid.

The video consists mostly of recently-mutated Hayden Tenno just walking around killing stuff. According to Sinclair, everybody in Dark Sector pegs Hayden as an enemy - humans think he's a monster, monsters think he's human - which is a very convenient setup for Hayden's "kill everything that moves" ideology. Heck, you'd be pissed off too if you just woke up to find you've mutated. Cool glaive, though.

Sinclair also talks a bit about some of the game's new features, like the special finishing moves. Apparently, flanking or surprising an enemy causes you to perform a cool finishing move. These moves will also change depending on what kind of enemy you're up against. The game's first boss also appears near the tail end of the vid, and Sinclair reveals that Hayden's next evolution will occur after players dispatch the first boss.

Check out both videos below. The first one's pure gameplay, second one has the running commentary.

This game is actually shaping up pretty nicely. I'm glad its no longer an FPS, it looks a lot better this way. Any word on a release date?

Yea it is looking great. Is this running on UE3? Seems to have many of the same nuiances I see from other UE3 games, but I guess it could just be the artistic design.

 » You are dumb.

I was pointing out that QJ has this in the 360 section. So whats the point of having them if they are not 360 videos??? You sir are an idiot. Go play your inferior PS3 while I play real next gen game on my PC and 360.

 » Power of X

These are the X360 videos brought over to the Ps3 section because the Ps3 version suffers from choppy framerate and washed out colors...CELL=CRAP

ONE SYSTEM TO RULE THEM ALL - X360

 » Hmm

they didn't say that at IGN. Was there somewhere else that said that these are 360 clips?
