It's official, D3Publisher of America and Digital Extremes' Dark Sector (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) has gone gold. Gamers based in North America can expect the game to ship to retail stores in their area this March 25, 2008.

For those who aren't too familiar with the game, here's what to expect. Players are placed in the shoes of Hayben Tenno, an elite black-ops agent sent on a mission into a Eastern European city which is said to contain a deadly Cold War secret. After being knocked unconscious, he awakens to find part of his body altered by an infection which grants him supernatural powers.

If this sounds like a game you want to play, then you're not the only one. Quite a number of gamers have been looking forward to playing this game. This enthusiasm was shared by D3PA's vice president of product development Peter Andrew. So before we go, here's what he had to say:
