Sony PlayStation 3 DualShock 3 dated for Japan, Europe and US - Image 1First unveiled at the Tokyo Game Show last year, the DualShock 3 finally has an official release date. Expect the controller to come out on April 15.

The controller will be available just two days before the release Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, which is rumble-capable.

According to Sony, more than a hundred games will be compatible with the rumble and motion-sensing SIXAXIS tech of the controller, including Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, and of course, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (which will be getting a PS3 bundle by the way).

The controller will be released in Europe at about the same time. The DualShock 3 will be priced at US$ 54.99. Looks like the long wait will soon be over.

This makes my comment in the MGS4 rumor QJ article look rather foolish.

I hope the different colors (ceramic white and satin silver) also get released here in the States. Why? Because I already have 2 SIXAXIS controllers that are black. I store them in the NYKO 4-controller charging dock. I'll be getting 2 DualShock3's and I want to be able to tell at a glance when I'm grabbing a controller if I'm getting a rumble or non-rumble one before I have to futz to put the wrong one back.
