Lightning-fast and silken-smooth gameplay, wicked-looking transportation, and undeniably awesome hardware to be seen in this short-but-sweet in-depth developer interview of Epic Games' Unreal Tournament III for the Xbox360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Listen close and watch even closer, else you're going to miss out on some of the best eye candy E3 has to offer.

In this video interview, we find out from Adam Hanson, assistant producer of Midway Games, about the tons of new content they've put into Unreal Tournament III - and looking at the gameplay bits, it's the understatement of the year. More gorgeous-looking environments, scarier monsters, flashier effects and hardware - it's all there. The guns you'll be using all have different modes of fire, and fan favorites such as the Flak Gun will be making their return in this sequel. The vehicles also get the next-gen treatment, and Adam Hanson himself reassured that there's going to be different types of a certain vehicle, with unique attributes per type. All definitely good news to hear.

No user mods will make this game get old quick. Im buying a ps3 just to play this game since M$ wont allow mods.

We don;t know the situation regarding mods on the 360. From what I've read before, so it's likely the best mods will probably be included in the 360 version of the game (Epics mentioned this in a previous interview).

» Unreal Tournament III for 360...

Epic Games made UT3 a timed exclusive for the PS3/PC and were planning on releasing it for the 360 some other time. But now they're unsure. They're deciding right now if they should release it for the 360 because the graphics wouldn't be as good as it would be on the PS3 because Sony helped Epic Games improve Unreal Engine 3 so that it would take full advantage of the PS3's hardware and Epic has a problem with Microsoft. Microsoft won't allow people to have user created mods for UT3. Also, did you hear about Epic wanting to release Gears of War for PS3? Epic now wants to release Gears on PS3 but they can't for now because Microsoft publishes Gears of War and Gears of War 2.

 » I own both consoles

But I'll be buying my copy for the PS3 for two main reasons. 1st it's free online multiplayer and 2nd is user mods. As a matter of fact any game that comes out for multiple platforms I'm buying for my PS3. I am not about to pay MS money to play online when Sony lets me do it for free.I love my 360 and its games but I hate the way MS does business.
