anyway if it's a good game this shouldn't' stop anyone from getting it...
correct me if i'm wrong guys but i do believe that NBA07 is 60fps while NBA2K7 is on the PS3 is 30fps right? anyway, i've play both games intensively and when i'm right in the game playing i don't concern myself whether it's 60fps or not... it all the same to me... i'm playing a basketball game and i'm enjoying.
i think the frame rate issues are just between extreme fans of rival console trying to outdo each other... one looking to have bragging rights over the other and getting disappointed when the rival has more than what his console will get...
but the bottom line is if it's a good game and you like the series then why not just buy it and enjoy and quit whining cause once you've started playing it on your console i don't think it's going to bother you that much anyway.

And lets not forget Motorstorm originally meant to have 60 fps but they had to drop it to 30fps for some reason, and yet Forza 2 runs perfect at 60fps so something is definitely not right with the PS3.

Forza had lots of time, money and complete tools to finish the job. Motorstorm is a arcade driving game with a motion sensor just for fun, Forza is a sim. racer for racing car fans. Compare Forza to GT not Motorstorm.

what a console is capable of and what it will actually see achieved are two very different things. PS3 will always have less games than the 360, because it's an aweful setup to program games on. Most developers have already come out and said this straight up. It's not the devs fault you fool, they can only do their best with what theyre given, if theyre given an inferior machine or more complex architecture then the games won;t be as gd or look as gd. This is sonys fault for not doing the proper consultation with devs that microsoft did. Epic made microsoft add $1bn to the cost of building the 360 so that it would be better for devs and look better and microsoft listened. Shame the 360 breaks %30 of the time. Me i'll wait until microsoft actually sort out the issues with cpu and gpu practically peeling of the motherboard. And i dnt mean adding some freaking apoxy resin! WHY THE HELL IS MOTORSTORM 1 PLAYER! cant even play it when mates come round its retarded it'd b the perfect game atm if it had 4 or 6 player, but no its too difficult to program on ps3 or ps3 cant handle it at the mo. we'll be waiting 3 yrs for the ps3 to take over 360 if it eva does.

EA already had a madden game under it's belt for PS3, so this is really 2nd gen...and it's still a POS....just like every multiplatform game so far...they all run a tad worse and have less effects on PS3....
The difference is that they have improved the player animations alot in 08 and they do not look as natural at half the framerate. More frames equals more fluid movement and more detailed replays....

It took Bethesda a YEAR to give the ps3 version of Oblivion some extra grass on the horizon. By the time you got the game everyone else (PC and 360 community) was already over and done with that game.

Bethesda said that the 360 would be getting an upgrade for said improvements and it still doesn't look as good as the PS3 version. Also the PS3 version of The Darkness looks a lot better on the PS3 than the 360. It's just a matter of applying your self and doing what it takes instead of just settling and screwing the costumer with the same price for a substandard product. Lazy developers are to blame here.

And Darkness does NOT look better on ps3. That game on ps3 is awful!!! It lags so bad that when you shoot the shotgun it takes 2-3 seconds before the soundbit plays. Jackie's hair is flat and only bends in certain places, and there are jaggies galore (especially noticable in the car ride scene). After downloading the demos for both my ps3 and 360 I easily chose it for 360. The ps3 version of that game is a disgrace to The Darkness.
Quit blaming the developers, just admit that sonys console is a piece of crap, trade it in and get a real gaming machine. No one is forcing you to keep your ps3 and play terrible versions of games with no good games coming out till 2009. Reviewers say the darkness also looks/runs better on 360.
Also, I will give you that oblivion runs better on PS3, but it does not look better...that was mass hype caused by the better textures in the distance, which 360 got....it actually looks better on 360 with better lighting and bumpmapping....

Pause it at 41seconds, when there is the closeup on the emperors face....
Notice how 360 has nice environmental lighting, casting highlights on the edges of his face, the amulet and his fur robe...notice the crap vertex shading on PS3 that does none of that ?
Then pause at 1:53....notice how when they are fighting the sun is shining towards your viewpoint, as the enemies shadows are comming towards you....so when raising the shield in reality it would block the sun and cast the back of the shield in shadow.....notic on PS3 it looks like it's still brightly lit, like there are two light sources, but, with it's superior global lighting, 360 casts the back of the shield into shadow like it should be....
And if you were blind and couldnt see those, this is the biggie...

Also, I will give you that oblivion runs better on PS3, but it does not look better...that was mass hype caused by the better textures in the distance, which 360 got....it actually looks better on 360 with better lighting and bumpmapping....

Pause it at 41seconds, when there is the closeup on the emperors face....
Notice how 360 has nice environmental lighting, casting highlights on the edges of his face, the amulet and his fur robe...notice the crap vertex shading on PS3 that does none of that ?
Then pause at 1:53....notice how when they are fighting the sun is shining towards your viewpoint, as the enemies shadows are comming towards you....so when raising the shield in reality it would block the sun and cast the back of the shield in shadow.....notic on PS3 it looks like it's still brightly lit, like there are two light sources, but, with it's superior global lighting, 360 casts the back of the shield into shadow like it should be....
And if you were blind and couldnt see those, this is the biggie...

Fight night round 3 looked better, ridge racer 7 looked better then rr6 on 360 also if you go into ign.com and look at hands on dirt for ps3 they also said the game looks,sounds and runs better on the ps3 and loads faster then the 360. It's not the hardware it's the developers taking the time to do it correctly on the system they are working on instead of making quick inferior ports!

You know most movies are shot at 23.97fps. the 2:3 pulldown is what converts those frames into 60Hz since that is the default frame rate for most tvs. But that's why new tvs are now coming out as 120Hz so they don't have to use the 2:3 pulldown and display all the frames equally. So having a game at 120fps isn't too far of a stretch but I don't see them wasting the time to try that anytime soon.

I would go for Sony's PS3 because software can be upgraded overtime and Xbox the hardware cant be.

The only gripe I have with the game so far is the lack of use with the hard drive. EA are such retards, they get the loading time down to nil for the PC, yet are so arrogant not to use the cache in PS3 and 360 hard drives.

Ok, I will name the good things about the ps3...

1) Having to install games before you can play. With 360 you just pop it in and go. Ps3 on the other hand, you have to wait anywhere from 2-10 minutes before you can play your game.
2) Theres no rumble. While this may not bother some, its a must for me. Without rumble it just feels like youre watching someone play the game, rather than being in the game and surrounded by the atmosphere. Its a small thing, but it does make a difference. You cant tell me that Motorstorm couldnt have benefited from rumble.
3) There really are no games for the ps3 worth getting. I have only bought 3 games since the ps3 came out (MS, NG:S, and RFoM), and I have bought endless ammount of games for my 360. There are so many great games for 360, and they just keep coming. There has only been a few instances where there were no new great games coming out for the 360 (around Oblivion and at launch). This is the main reason that failure rates dont really hurt MS, because theres so many games people tend to look past it.
4) There is no network capabilities. I have a lot of music on my pc, and I cant network that music to my ps3 like I can with my 360. Nor can I play custom soundtracks on my ps3 anyways, so it really doesnt make a difference. If I want to put a picture or movie on my ps3 I have to put it on a memory stick, with 360 I can just network it to my console from my pc.
5) No mic with the console. Whats the point of playing a game like RFoM if you cant communicate with your teammates? 360 comes with a headset, so everyone you meet talks. It really brings the community together.
6) With a price tag over half a grand, they dont include essential stuff like HDMI cables, dvd remote, and headset. It just makes the console even more expensive in the end. I dont see how 360 can throw in all that stuff for $200 less, but the ps3 cant. It just feels like they wanted you to buy their bluray format and didnt care about anything else.

Throw in HD-DVD, WiFi, Memory Card readers, HDD etc etc and suddenly ur 360 is a whole lot more expensive than PS3!!
PS3 has the Media Server thing so you can axs songs and pictures from ur PC.

I to have an Xbox from Launch and my PS3 I have had from launch date too, I%u2019m just saying to proof I know what I%u2019m talking about, let%u2019s go though AoxomamoxoA list, good first:
1) Web browser is ok and the mo does the job and will get better over time.
2) The Xbox had the same amount of demos then of what the PS3 has right now . Plus its FREE
3) No 3)!! What about how quiet the PS3 is what about no noisy disc tray or no disc tray! What about there is no power brick on it. What about no annoying 2 player guest sign-in , card slots, more usb, how fast it boots into the dashboard and more customize options.
Now the bad:
1) It%u2019s because the games are zipped meaning the games are quicker to download, good for people with bad internet connections.
2) No rumble does suck but PS1 pad got upgraded same as the ps2 pad same will happen for ps3. Its only coz of that law thing and now that%u2019s over, it will not be long now!
3) There isn%u2019t that many games at the mo, most are just ports. Again it%u2019s the same as the xbox was back then and a ***** load will be coming out after Xmas more than the Xbox.
4) Tversity will sort that out and you can download any pc contents to the ps3, I got about 5 movies on my ps3 at the mo.
5) Next month Warhawk is coming out with a wireless headset with their game, sorted.
6) All Sony item are pricey always have been, if you buy an Xbox with HDDVD it works out about the same as the PS3 and HDDVD is not HDMI nor can be used for games, Xbox games are stuck at 9gbs and PS3 use blu-ray for movies and games which future games like Rage is maxing the blu-ray disc out.

Oblivion was originally planned for the PC and XBlowx711. Somewhere along the line, they decided they wanted to mess around with the PS3 hardware and decided to code Oblivion on it. And guess what, that decision was a year later after they started working on the XBlowx711. MEANING, they've had the same amount of time to work on it.
Oblivion pwnt on the PS3 and blows on the Xblowx711.
99% of muliplatform games are ported from the XBlowx711 to the PS3, so it's no biggie that all of them suck on the PS3. Lets see them port Haze and UT3 onto the XBlowx711, you'll see how poorly the XBlowx711 performs. If they are the same, it only took them 6 months to optimize the code in order to play it that way. ROFL
I feel sad for XBlowx711 owners. They can't face the fact that the PS3 is selling at a faster pace than their 33%-failure-rated system. And of course, the warranty only covers the 3 RRoD, NOTHING ELSE...so if there's a power outage and anything else happens, GG noob. Do some research.

When all is said and done Killzone 2 will still be an enjoyable PS3 game and Halo 3 will still be an enjoyable Xbox 360 game, and Assassin's Creed will still be multiplatform. No matter what any of you say none of the three consoles will go the path of the Dreamcast.
You have to look at it logically, last generation the PS2 destroyed its competition, but the Xbox 360 and Wii were still released right? Sega was in trouble when the Dreamcast was released anyways..
Who cares which console wins this time around? I bet that any of your comments won't affect another persons purchase, leave the role of convincing people to buy it to the companies.
PS. Who the hell cares about these sports games anyways? Go outside!
