Now this was supposed to be another dev diary for God of War III, where you get to see the usual gameplay footages of Kratos being his violent self. But apparently, the former God of War is so violent that the ESRB is stepping in to make sure that the excessive blood and gore won't be seen in any God of War III video. Watch the vid and see for yourself.

Since ESRB can't protect the kids from inappropriate content when watching vids online, the rating board decided to censor the images in which offensive material can be found, like at 4:43 in the video above. The video may require age verification to be able to watch, but any kid would know how to bypass that little barrier.

Don't worry though, once you get the actual game, there will be none of those unpleasant "Censored by ESRB" icons on your glorious 1080p screen, just the pure, bloody, eye-yanking gore that Kratos delivers with such passion.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT. CONTENT IS JUDGED BY THE PERSON, NOT OTHER PEOPLE.

 » Censored?!

i said it before and i say it again...This is what happens when you blame bad parenting on video games and cartoons...if people would try to be parents as hard as they try to be a critic their kids wouldnt be screw-ups and things like this wouldnt happen

 » LOL

but they still do a terrible job of censoring!

when kratos rips out that poor cyclops' eye, it censored the eye....but not the damn bloody eyesocket!!

same deal with the head, its decapitated, but they only censored out the ripping head.....

now WTF else do kids need to know to understand whats going on? watching this censored or not shan't change the so called "effect" that the kids are going to get out of this

for real, this ish is just annoying and wont change if a kid is crazy or not

» That's stupid. It tells you that it's for mature audiences and has you verify your age....

Even television advertisements for movies that are scary or gory don't have you do that in order to watch it.
