Earth No More, Prey 2, Incarnate - new IPs revealed from Radar - Image 1

Radar Group has been busy brainstorming, from new game concepts to special gaming experiences in new intellectual properties. A recent interview with Scott Miller, Chief Creative Officer of Radar, shows that of ten projects in place, there are at least three games already being cooked up: the previously announced Earth No More, Prey 2, and Incarnate.

Now Earth No More wasn't much of a hush-hush thing. Sure, it was 3D Realms' secret until it dropped the big bomb, but it then gained a lot of publicity after some IP-stealing accusations were tossed about. Apparently, Radar Group co-owns the IP which means they are also helping develop the concepts to make the game great on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

But what was pretty sneaky was the fact that a sequel to the successful Prey - also known for being one of 3DRealms' ten-year-developed games - was also bubbling up in one of their projects. To be fair, however, 3D Realms did say they had three secret projects, Earth No More included.

And since the release of Valve Corporation's Portal, the minds behind Prey 2 have been looking at ways to "return the favor to Valve" - that is, to honor the company's brave focus on one core concept with something in Prey 2 that will "leap frog" Portal's ideas in both concept and technology.

In addition, Prey 2 will also have the predecessor's protagonist, Tommy, in a different light of self esteem. Miller added:

In the new game we're making him a hardened, take-charge character who's learned fast from his previous experience, and ready to accept his status as a galactic savior.

He also said that combat will be taken up a notch with more enemies simultaneously. Aiding the player will be improvements to the spirit powers and a more open environment to skirmish in.

Incarnate, the last of the three IPs divulged, was the least detailed of the lot. Apparently, it's an IP that's "ultra rare" in the linear story development sense. It's rare in the fact that it was actually a movie concept to begin with, but also seemed to have potential as a game. The game version of Incarnate  won't be a mirror of the movie side of the project though.

As for the game's concept, Incarnate is tagged with a line "Evil never dies." That's all we're left to work with. More developments as we come across them.
