Echochrome - Image 1

I actually know a couple people who are still playing echochrome (gotta give it to them, they've got patience!) and enjoy it (ah, they must be masochists). But either way, the mind-bending puzzle game on the PSN will be getting a huge update pretty soon - at least in Japan.

SCEJ will be rolling out a patch which will integrate two new features: PlayStation Eye and YouTube support. Installing the patch will allow you to watch yourself play the game via an in-set window at the corner of the screen. (Why you'd want to watch yourself tormenting yourself is strictly your own business, not mine.)

The video is taken from the PSEye, obviously, and they can be saved on to your hard drive. These can then be uploaded directly to YouTube after.

There's also going to be other features to be incorporated with this update, but Sony didn't detail them specifically yet. They haven't confirmed this outside Japan yet either, but IGN thinks it's highly probable to eventually arrive in other regions as well.
