Folklore demo this Friday - Image 1Last month, we reported that development studio Game Republic will be releasing a demo for the video game Folklore at the Japanese PlayStation Network (PSN). Those who have been following this title might be interested to know that the said demo will be available this Friday.

The confirmation came from the title's official site in Japan. However, Game Republic wasn't able to mention what fans can expect from the game's demo. Folklore, also known as FolksSoul in the Land of the Rising Sun, follows the story of characters Ellen and Keats.

The gameplay involves fighting off monsters called "Folks" and capturing their weakened souls. If you really want to know, Folklore is actually a spin-off of the Monster Kingdom universe and is consistent with the previous titles' mechanics and features.

There have been many "confirmations" before that the title will be available this coming June 21 but Game Republic or Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) has still to make an official announcement.

And on a last note, please be sure that you reserve some space on your PS3 as the demo's size is around 1,019 MB.

will someone please find the older article about folklore posted by QJ, ive played demo and left my comment there.
and yes it good to have it home, its hard to play on kiosks while those japanese people stare at me, and believe me, they think im looney because you have to pump the controller to absorb those monster's soul, mini/bosses give a fight and have to execute more motions on the sixaxis to absorb their souls too, which of course become part of your arsenal.
