Ever wanted great games for your PS3 at rock bottom prices? Japan certainly does. A Japanese online retailer recently posted listings for the first set of titles that'll fall under the PlayStation 3 budget lineup for Japan, known as "PlayStation 3 the Best." Fans of Game Republic and SCEI's Folklore will soon be able to avail of the latest and final add-on bundle pack. Another free add-on pack is now available for Sony PlayStation 3 owners who grabbed a copy of Game Republic's Folklore. Folklore Create-a-Creature contest winner Udiricy's creation, the Folk Quasarilli, can now join your ranks. More details at the full article.

Another update hits Europe's PlayStation Network. Not everybody is necessarily happy about is as the said update only sports a trailer (Devil May Cry 4's final trailer) and an add-on pack (Folklore's Fear in the Night pack).

We learned back in August that there are some plans to come up with a PlayStation Portable version of PS3 title Folklore, a game that will be supervised by no other than Shin Megami Tensei creator Kouji Okada.

We believe that the handheld version of the console game is Coded Soul which has just been revealed in the latest issue of magazine Famitsu. Take note, however, that it is not exactly a port of Folklore. More details via the "read more" link below.

 

It's that time of the week once again where we update you on the latest deals and steals invading the PlayStation Network Store, and this one's for those of us in North America. Fire up those next-gen Sony PlayStation 3 machines, as the guys over at the PlayStation Store has unleashed not just one, but two demos for you to download and get acquainted with - for the easily-affordable price of absolutely nothing.

Yep, these latest downloadable demos - namely Folklore and Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights(PS3, PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, PC, DS) - are going for free. In the Folklore demo, you'll be able to play as either Ellen or Keats in the Fairy Realm, where you'll also get an eyeful of the game's comic-like cutscenes (not to mention the high-end visuals). The same goes with the Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights demo, except with a lot more racing and a lot less fairies. And more models. Do note, though, that the Folklore and Juiced 2 demos are 1.26 GB and 968 MB in size respectively, so make sure you have space.

And there's also the deal of Calling All Cars going for only US$ 4.99 until the 25th of October, so if you haven't downloaded it already, the time to do so is now.
