Is Fox on that crackpipe again, 'cause none of these movies are worth $20, let alone $40. They must mean $40 for ALL of them! And even then I'll be waiting at the cashier for some change. Fantastic 4 for 40. Give me a freakin' break.

Whatever.
There are only a few special movies i`d like to own in HD.
"Crouching Tiger - Hidden Dragon" would be on the top of my list.
I mean , for the usual dorky movie i don`t need HD.
A decent DVD Player with good upscaling will do just fine.
"The March of the Penguins" would be a good movie for HD.
The movie itself , well...it`s ok.
But those crystal clear pictures from nature are the perfect showcase for HD and flatscreens.

i know it is *****tie movie!
But I am wondering about the FPS game from features.
Is it only running on PC, or PS3? Or maybe play on any BluRay player?

Noticed what codecs they use? DTS Master Audio, and MPEG4, on dual layered BD-R.
You know what this means? BD-R movies in their full glory, totally outclassing what is or ever will be available on HD-DVD.

$40 dollars a movie!!!!!! YEAAAAAAAAA RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know anyone who would pay that much! Now I know why everyone downloads music and movies online and then burns them to DVDR.

I hear so much about blu-ray but they say hd-dvd is winning. sony makes movies, fox and disney supports them. now on the hd-dvd side I dont hear anything. I dont hear about fox making movies for that format. I dont see hd-dvds on shelves nothing. its like hyping a rumor. even if hd-dvd is winning blu-ray will endup on top. simply because if all the studios support both formats, sony still will make movies and tv series making blu-ray have more movies.

I would pay $40 for a movie, if it's a good movie in HD. I personally liked Kingdom of Heaven. I watched it at a theater and I own the DVD of it and would still buy a Blu-ray disc of it. I think it would be cool to watch in HD. Movies will go down in price, not to worry.

HD DVD has way better picture quality
- Not anymore.. HD-DVD's are released with VC1 and have till now been compared to the first BD Mpeg2 releases. These releases are Mpeg 4 which is the superior codec.
HD DVD has way better sound quality
-Look above.. Same goes for sound.
HD DVD has more movies
-BS
HD DVD players are half the price.
-Not after PS3's release. Then they are the same price.

BR and HD are support to retail at $40 usd right now. Its just no store charges or carries them at that price. Except $25 to $30 just like HD and BR are right now.
