When the screenshots for the fabled and much-talked-about Playstation Home were finally released to the public, there was an audible chorus of palpitating hearts which filled the QJ offices. But now that there's actually a VIDEO showing how the virtual Playstation community will look like once it's completed, some members of the QJ staff hyperventilated, while others couldn't take the excitement and simply fainted. Yes, everyone, among the treats that Phil Harrison brought with him to the ongoing Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2007 in San Francisco were these video clips which feature two of Sony's latest pet projects. I'm a 360 owner and huge fan but I think it's too early to say how well sony is going to pull this off until we get hands on. From the video it looks like it would spank xbox live all the way "home" but as I said it's too early to really see if this will be better or not. The fact that it is also free makes me hope xbox live will follow the lead. I still wonder if people will have to pay fees to each game the play on home though.

This is the type of thing that only non social people could enjoy and probably those who like fantasy lives. I mean come on. If you want to go bowling..go bowling, watch a movie..watch a movie. You dont need to live in virtual world to meet people. Also creating your own house and making it look expensive... I mean what the hell its just like having 5 grand and trying to show off that you have 1 million dollars. Overall I think this will be a flop. People don't have to time and probably dont want to spend the time wasting on this type of thing.

If they pull this off, it could be a XBL killer. This is way more advanced!!! It looks awesome. I am already, thinking about how I will be able to do my Rainbow Six Vegas clan. Barracks, with images of the maps on the wall. Discuss tactics with the image as reference.
