It's not often that this blogger gets blown away by a mere trailer, but the video for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter on the PlayStation 3 did just that. Gamers who haven't heard of Ubisoft's GRAW2 will undoubtedly want to take a look at this as it really shows off what the game is all about.

While you're watching the video, you'll notice how well it was made. The animations of the characters look absolutely amazing and the music in the background goes very well with all the action. As we mentioned in the title, fans of huge explosions won't be disappointed.

We won't be keeping you much longer, go watch the video and immerse yourself in the glory that is GRAW2. If you plan on picking this game up, it should already be out in stores now.

 » got this game yesterday

This is for anyone who is thinking of getting this game.
Offline play is good no problem there, motion sensor sucks ass, just turn it off.
Online play is good, but there are things you should know:
-Sometimes there is a delay between you shooting a guy and him getting hit.
Playing online has no split-screen mode.
-Split-screen can be played 'local' and 'lan' so if you really want split-screen online, its got to work through a tunnell program, I dont know of any programs for the ps3, but i bet there out there, if there not this game is a good reason for programers to make one.

 » just a port

its just a port, what has not been F***** up, its got more game modes but if you got it on the xbox I would not bother.

» It's not a port, it has been programmed specifically for the PS3

"Kotaku: It seems pretty difficult for the development team to port a X360 game to PS3... was that the case for GRAW2?

Olivier: GRAW2 can't actually be seen as a port, as the two games were simultaneously developed.

As the hardware was so different, GRAW2 PS3 was an original development, which requires taking some time to think how you can get the most out of the console, goal being to provide the same experience for the end-users.

 » No....

It's no the typical port, but really, if nothing was improved and you get the same experience you could have had on a console 6 months ago, they ya...it's a port.

I'll be waiting on the reviews to see if they did anything better for once or if like every other game, it turned out worse or exactlly the same...

» Alot better looking on PS3

the textures and shadow details are far better, as are the lighting geometry.

As always I recommending using RGB full mode for PS3 games, makes them look so much better.

Seeing what you want to see as usual. ;)

   Re: Shatterdome - 2007-08-24
 » like I said...

I will wait for reviews and read at least 3 different ones to get a cross analysis from "experts"....and never will I listen to a fanboy on the internets decision when it is clearly biased (good or bad)

Yes i'm looking at your Don and "ummm"

 » yep

It looks pretty much the same to me as the 360 version. Just came out later and had to be made by a patient developer that would pay to make it ground up specifically for the cell and PS3 hardware. Not going to see to many of these games.
