This doesn't sound good for PS3 fans. One of the largest game retailers in the U.S. hasn't decided on whether they'll offer pre-orders for the PlayStation 3.

Since Sony messed up on their blu-ray, they're only shipping half of their original. It's gonna be another 360 case when people didnt get their already reserverd systems cuz they didnt get enough in. I wouldn't offer it either. They're doing the Wii though. Expect to sell that out real quik. I got my zelda on lock and they are calling me when i can reserve it. woot go nintendo

This really sucks if they aren't going to take pre-orders. I don't really want to wait over night at any store to get a PS3. Maybe they'll take pre-orders when Gamestop knows how many PS3's they'll get. Looks like I'll have to get out the sleeping bag on Nov. 17.

I am going to be spending thousands of dollars this holiday season on games junk and they treat me like a bum and make me wait on the sidewalk!!?? WTF, this just aint right.
I dont want to sit in line all day like some star wars freek or homeless dude, who the heck do they think the people who can afford the ps3 are?
Anyways I guess I will have to wait in line if it comes down to it..... I want to be able to play Motorstorm and Heavenly Sword right away.
Then 2 days later I get to do the same thing with the Wii.... Noooooooo! Plz just take my money and do me up a pre order ill pay whattever just for the convienice... Pleeeeeeease i beg you. I will ***** you up and pay 100 homeless scumbags to ridden your store and mess up the whole system if you dont meet my demands.

ok people, I check these posts everyday and rarely post anything but its getting pretty sad now. Why do PS3 fanboys need to try to put down the 360 to make their system seem good. It seems these fanboys are forgetting what makes a system good, the games. I can go and buy a HD DVD player or a blu ray player if I need to watch high def movies, but I will not since it comes with the ps3 which I admit is a nice feature (one of the main reasons I want the system). But when it comes to games ps3 has been smakced across the face and pimped by the 360. G.R.A.W., LOTR: BFME2, Chromehounds (one of the best "ONLINE" games ever), Saints Row, Condemned (sleeper hit), Too Human, Dead Rising, Gears of War, mass Effect, Lost Planet, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Halo 3, Crackdown, Splinter Cell,rainbow 6 vegas, Huxley, Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom, Shadowrun, WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007. These are games, and these are what make a system ggod, I challenge any ps3 fanboy to make a list this extensive for their beloved $600 foreman grill. Oh yea and I didn't even mention XBOX live. There are no 360 owners that are not happy with their console.

The PS3 launch SHOULD go smoother than the 360 launch. Sony has stated there will be 1-1.2 million units avaible by xmas. The 360 pretty much did nothing after their initial launch.
Then again, Sony also said 2 million during their worldwide launch and we see how well that went.
In any case I don't see how not taking preorders is a good idea. Once each store knows how many its going to get, take that many preorders, and then stop taking them... I think thats better than making people camp-out outside your store in the middle of november...

I pre-ordered my PS2 and PSP and picked it up after the rush when I got out of work, nice & peacefull like. I don't even wait in line with the rest of the people that preordered theirs. The chances of getting mugged are too high.lol

I think we can all thank MS for this.
Their craptacular launch and the backup on pre-orders are to blame for this. If they could have delivered more than 2 consoles per store for 4 months, PS3 fans wouldn't be getting screwed.
And please don't waste your breath bashing me for this post. No the PS2 didn't have a great launch, but the 360 launch shortages blew anything you have to say about Sony away... accept the blame, move on...
