Blu-ray logo - Image 1A few days ago, UK's Official PlayStation Magazine (OPM) announced that it would soon be offering up free monthly Blu-ray demo discs to go with their magazine. We will be updating that news bit today, as we announce the first four game demos making it to the disc: Virtua Tennis 3, Resistance: Fall Of Man, Formula One Championship Edition and Genji: Days Of The Blade. We imagine the guys trying to save space for other downloadable goodies (like PSOne games?) will find this news most welcome.

No word yet on what other goodies the demo disc will carry, although our previous report states that the disc will also carry movie trailers.  We advise readers to wait for further updates. OPM's Blu-Ray demo disc will debut alongside issue 7 of the magazine's current volume  on June 1, with an expected mag price of £ 5.99 (US$ 12).

This is an outrage! Official US Playstation mag gets cancelled, and Brits get this....

Also, I, as someone with a US address, was unable to receive the free copy of Casino Royale that the Euro PSN members got... :-(

 » Stop!

Stop complaining and being so arrogant! Us Brits had to wait months upon months for our PS3's and we had to wait and register our PS3's for our movie unlike you who got it in the box. We deserve something at least, when do we ever get anything first?

Hope thats sarcasm because from what I hear, the u.s has a lot more stuff in the playtation store. We have a load of crap not even the gtaiv trailer

also why is this a surprise? wasn't it a given that mags would start giving out blu-ray discs?

The trailer is on the UK store now.

» I think it suprised people because

Many said BluRay was expensive to make, and so it cant be for it to be given away in a magazine.

The GTAIV traier has been up for a couple of weeks now, but called something like Things are going to change.

Even if they were giving out bluray demo discs in the US, i would not buy the magazine. All the info i need from gaming mags is in the internet and all the demos that they would have are in the playstation store and both are FREE. I have a crap load of movies, music videos, game trailers, demos, music in my ps3 and my ps3 still has (hol up lemme check).....35 gigs left so i dont mind downloading the games for free cuz ive got plenty of space.

if the virtua tennis 3 demo will bw on the mag, does this mean it may be coming to PSN?
