Electronic Arts will be shifting to a higher gear this December with the release of the first downloadable add-on pack for Need for Speed: Shift's PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. Even better, it's gonna be free.

Following yesterday's Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition announcements, here's a trailer for Lost in Nightmares, the first new episode to be released. Come back to the Spencer estate and be regaled with Chris and Jill's astute observations regarding cranks in the vid after the jump.

No More Heroes is making the jump to the PS3 and Xbox 360. We already saw some shots of the new versions in the Famitsu scan we posted a couple of days ago but those were tiny. It's not as much of a shocker as, say, Cactuar being already taken, but it's just as much of a news. ESRB has finally come out with their rating for Final Fantasy XIII (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360). Like with the other iterations of the franchise, XIII has been tagged with a T for Teen rating.

The PS3-exclusive beta for DICE's Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (game also on Xbox 360 and PC) is already available for download, so get it while it's still hot. There's a problem with the server, though, but they're working on it quick.

The guys at Final Fantasy XIII.net got another scan from Shonen Jump, showing landscapes here and monster enemies there. It's getting a bit old, really. But on the lighter side of things, the scans did reveal how Cactuar would look in Final Fantasy XIII, which is...exactly the same. Don't be dissin' the same old look, it seems to be working for our thousand-needled friend - scans also reveal that Cactuar now has a lady friend.

IO Interactive and Square Enix Europe (formerly Eidos) have confirmed the existence of the Kane & Lynch sequel, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days. Details for the game remain scarce, but gaming blog Kotaku was able to unearth a few. Hit the jump for more on this game.

Atlus has released a launch trailer for 3D Dot Game Heroes, From Software's digital ode to old-school 8-bit gaming. Check it out and get to know the Kingdom of Dotnia, where people are still getting used to the concept of existing in 3D.

2K Games has now announced the Special Edition for BioShock 2 which would be the Big Daddy of all swag. It's not because it's utterly the most awesome we've ever seen, but simply because the game's got Big Daddy in it.
