Kane & Lynch is coming to the PlayStation 3 - SCi Entertainment - Image 1

And this time, this is for real. According to a report by Games Industry, SCi Entertainment was actually at work on PlayStation 3 versions of Crossfire and Kane & Lynch which should be coming out by the financial year of 2008. The Xbox 360 and PC versions of the two games should be out by the end of 2007.

Previously, Eidos shot down any possibility of IOI's title coming to the PlayStation 3, stating that the press release that reported the news was full of flaws. Apparently, the fact that Kane & Lynch: Dead Men was also being ported to Sony's next-gen console was included in those errors.

But now SCi Entertainment has revealed that Pivotal Games' Crossfire and IO Interactive's Kane & Lynch: Dead Men are indeed getting ported and are already at "advanced stages of development." And not only that, the titles should be almost simultaneously released with the PC and Xbox 360 versions. Expect Kane & Lynch: Dead Men to hit stores this Christmas, while Crossfire to arrive by early 2008.

There have been no news, however, of port versions for the PSP and PS2.

wow do i smell envy of some game i don't even care about from some spiteful ps3 owner who wasted 600$ on a system and could have spent the same amount of money but got Three games with it that are actually fun to play?

I think its great that the PS3 is getting more games. I will be buying the 360 version, but i am happy its also going to the PS3. Becase more install base means more money for devs, which means better games for all of us. Man, you Sony fantards really make me ashamed to be a Sony fan. Yes i can own an xbox and still be a sony fan. Heck i just bought a XBR3 for my living room last night, my SXRD had to go in my bedroom.

dude do you really wanna talk about losing exclusives...i dont care about losing exclusive butt when its sony they start cryin like little B*tches..if we all get the games im happy

» We still took most of you exclusives.

Kane and Lynch isn't even gonna Impact Xbox 360 sales. Most of your exclusives jump ship to the Xbox 360, If Final Fantasy XIII goes to the PS3, PS3 is going to loose sales, bigtime.

My Name is Mister Common Sense if you dont hate the PS3 then ***** you!

True. If Sony has ALL the good exclusives they can do nothing but lose good exclusives. This is not considering 1st party software. I guess MS has one then. So MS has one exclusive game worth a damn, oh well. Oh yeah, you can say good bye to Gears too, cause I guarantee every Gears game from here on out will be multi platform. I bet Gears actually comes to PS3 next year too, MS probably just paid them money to hold it exclusive for awhile that was already hinted at in an interview.

Sony will take the exclusives they can. But really, who wants crappy games? I especially wouldn't want to own the same console as Mister Common Sense, I think it would make me dumber just to have the same console. Ill pay an extra couple hundred bucks to keep my intelligence.

yeah, you're an idiot

 » just say no

lol i like how all the sony fans are throwing stuff our way like theyve been holding a piss. my god, and none of the microsoft people even care either. so this game went multiplat, thats basically like charity because if you think about it...how many of their launch games were just 360 ports? and Oblivion? Exactly.

You just remember, youre playing a $400 game on a $600 dollar console. *Sony Thanks You For Supporting BluRay!* stickers on the box, suckaaaa

all you fanboys from both sides always have the same stupid excuses when one of your precious games are stolen. let's face it, you're all pretty stupid. get over yourselves already.

 » Whatever

This game isn't the one that will sell Ps3. Exclusives are. This and next year will be awesome for Playstation users with or without Kane & Lynch, many great exclusives are coming.

I would've hit "reply", except it's not showing up under your post.

Anyhow, Gears of War was commisioned AND was published by Microsoft Game Studios. Microsoft in fact holds intellectual property rights on Gears of War. It is HIGHLY unlikely it will ever port to another system, short of Microsoft exiting the gaming console industry.
