You need a new connection. 7 hours? Bloody hell.

I'm with VirginMedia, and 700mb takes me about an hour at most.

You guys connection speeds suck, period. "broadband" - what, DSL - that dosen't count.
I haven't had to wait nearly that long for anything, but I'm not an Xboy trying to bash a system I probably don't have. Yeah I think thats it.

It only took me about 30 minutes, if that, courtesy of the the update bypass. Then again, I downloaded it at around midnight when most people are offline.

why don't you want to update. ps3 is not like psp. theres no homebrew potential in previous versions. it's all the same security

My wireless router is class B, and it didn't take me more than 25 minutes to download GT HD Concept on Xmas eve.

I have no complaints about the speed of the PS network. If you're experiencing slow speeds I'd take a closer look at your connection speed or wireless signal quality because it's not the fault of the PS network.

Word of advice, encrypt your wireless connection so that other people can't leech off your wireless connection.

 » okay

on xmas it had to be fast because that was one of only like 10 downloads the network had to offer and the ps3 was out for about 1 month. that march update better bring on downloads while playing because its gonna be tough to dl when double the users log on in 1 weeks time.

March update is including background downloads, not while playing a game though.

 » WHAT NO multitasking !!!!!

NO multitasking?, I thought the PS3 would at least be able to do what the Commodore Amiga could in 1982 and of course not forgetting the 360 can do it.

I know right, It like running linnux, computers have been doing it for years the PS3 does it, but your Xbox dosen't, it dosen't even run windows. Now shut the hell up and take that fanboy crap to the xbox blog.
Thanks.
