And the 360 comes bundled with 2 to 3 games, and HD cables, a headset and a remote. Plus most places sell it under $400 anyway.

And i will like for you to come to a major city because obviously you live in a place like tennesse.. but any way im from NYC and ive been looking for a ps3 eevrywhere and whenever best buy or my local gamestop has a shipment the lines there go right out the door. ive been to a gamestop and ebgames 2 weeks ago and lines were out the door both on 32st in manhattan and best buy was at 23 st manhattan if you dont believe me

The PS3 is pretty young out. People do expect it to do well on the first week of its release, but somehow it didn't. In some countries, times are so hard that buying a console is equal to buying a pretty decent computer instead. Or celphone. Or tuition fee (for the overly righteous). ^_^
The Wii numbers are pretty jaw-dropping at this time, but it's still early in 2007, and only time will tell who takes the cake from this new generation of consoles.
I'm open to new updates on this, so any new info or leads are appreciated. Keep me informed, folks!

A slow start is a bad thing for Sony because their competitors are off to a quick start. Mario + Halo are going to sell more units then MGS. And the 360 is going to sell more units then the PS3 when GTA4 comes out because of the cheaper price and bigger 360 game catalog.
The slower Sony sells units the more exclusives they are going to lose because publishers will have to port to the 360 to make a decent profit. Virtual Fighter 5 anyone? Also with all the doubt surrounding the system publishers will probably be waiting for the system to sort itself out before committing millions of dollars to a project. Also the development difficulties will slow releases which seems to be happening on the regular bases now.

The 360 has many non shooter exclusives. Amped, PGR3, Kameo, Viva, Dead Rising, Rockstar Table Tennis, Top Spin 2, Rumble Roses XX, Blue Dragon just to name a few of the top of my head.
Here's a list of exclusive, but it hasn't been updated since 30 August 2006. You could probably add another 10 titles onto that list.

The 360 currently has 9 platinum titles and they aren't all shooters, so Gears isn't the only 360 game selling.

I think it was a big mistake not having Gran Turismo ready for launch. I didn't expect Japan's sales to drop so soon.
As for this comment "since the 360 Library is Completly Lame.", maybe you should have a look at the PS3 game library, and upcoming titles for the next 6 months before you pass judgment. That is one of the reasons this console isn't selling.
Look out for Lost Odyssey.
The 360 has many non shooter exclusives. Amped, PGR3, Kameo, Viva, Dead Rising, Rockstar Table Tennis, Top Spin 2, Rumble Roses XX, Blue Dragon just to name a few of the top of my head.
Here's a list of exclusive, but it hasn't been updated since 30 August 2006. You could probably add another 10 titles onto that list.

The 360 currently has 9 platinum titles and they aren't all shooters, so Gears isn't the only 360 game selling.

160 games vs like 25. Look up any reputable game review site and compare the ratings. The XBOX 360 games will keep getting better. It just seems the PS3 is always one step behind, well with pretty much everything.
Sony has had luck on their side with past consoles, considering Sega and Nintendo made costly mistakes. Sega's 32x release shortly before Saturn along with Nintendo's use of cartridges and later release. Sega Dreamcast was easy to pirate and nobody had high expectations for it, Newcomer MS was a year behind the PS3, Nintendo made an average no frills console with poor software support and no BC or DVD player.
Sony thought they would win so easily after selling 110 million PS2s, they thought they could help with movie and blu ray sales to push the format, despite adding $200 to the price with no real gaming advantage one year late. There is little room for error in the videogame industry, and sony's overconfidence and poor leadership is getting the best of them. Sony is making the costly mistakes this round, and Nintendo and MS have their sh*t together. PS3 will still sell and some good games will come out for it, but sony's name in gaming will never be the same...

Go to a good game site and tell me how many 360 games have a rating higher than 8. Those are generally good games. Obviously you don't own a 360 and haven't played any next generation games. Except maybe for Resistance which isn't better than gears.

If you look closer you will see that all sales plummeted...
And remember that sales always slow follwing the holiday season. The 360 had no supply between Jan-march 2006, which is why it remained scarce.
Also remember that there really are no games out for the PS3 right now. Expect thing to pick up in march for the PAL launch and a pretty strong list of games coming out.
Japan is the home of PSwii. I think you will all see proof of that during the 2007 holidays when Sony will finally drop its big guns (MGS and Killzone). Don't worry about the PS3 in Japan, it will do fine.
The real thing to watch is how MGS and Killzone battle against Halo 3 in the USA and EU. That is going to be very interesting!!!!
