If you're still doped up on Nectar and want to know a little more about Ubisoft's Haze, Community Developer Aymeric Evennou (Ubi_Wuzzi) is more than happy to fill out some of the blanks to the upcoming FPS title for the PlayStation 3.With the demo of Haze released just last week, Evennou took the time out to answer some of the many fan-sent questions on the PlayStation Blog regarding the game. Most of the questions focused on the multiplayer aspect and how extensive it will be in the final version once Haze is released. Evennou explained that Haze will easily support up to four players via split screen format in either Multiplayer or Co-op mode. Gamers can connect two PS3s with two troopers playing split screen on both consoles for the full-on FPS squad feel. Alternately, they can also hook up the consoles through LAN and play a decent 4-on-4 multiplayer match against one another. If you're worried about the game becoming too cramped due to the split screen format, Evennou assured everyone that Haze will feature a variety of environments - from claustrophobic to wide open vista spaces - for players to enjoy. The main campaign will take you through twelve different places (with the first one already featured in the demo), with no actual levels so to speak. The story takes place in a span of three days and nights, and has no loading times in between. The length of the game mostly depends on the skill of the gamer and the level of difficulty you choose to play it on. Those of you expecting another long mandatory hard drive installation (you know, like Devil May Cry 4) will be happy to know that Haze only needs to install part of the game into your PS3 and (hopefully) won't take very long. The disc will still be needed to launch the game. Additional details regarding this can be found on another discussion made on the Ubisoft forums, which can be accessed by clicking on this link. On a final note, Evennou ended the Q&A section by sharing some funny Tiny Trooper wallpapers. We've posted them below for those of you interested in getting a little more of that Nectar-induced high before the game's release this May 20. |

» Nice.
You play 1% of the game and decide not to buy it. Really wise decision..Meh, your choice.
Lol @ the Chibi Trooper. I heard that the install will be 4gb.

» sorry but..
that's what demos are for. If they cannot put the best of a game potential in the demo than:
1. don't release any demo
2. The game has no potential.

The demo is a level of the full game, if you dont like the demo, why would you like the full game?
I didnt like it.

The first level of the game. It didn't show any actual multiplayer, NONE of the gameplay experience as a Mercenary, and only the first 10 minutes of gameplay. So going off of such a slim experience, you instantly say the whole game isn't worthy of you playing it? That's flawed judgment.

Well demo's are meant to spark your interest in a certain game aren't they ?
If the demo sucks, then the developers have done a pretty bad job

Well if everyone will go by 10 minutes of gameplay and say it sucks, so be it, as I don't care at all. I'm buying it and that's pretty much all that matters. That's what everyone does, if it's not like Halo or Gears of War or COD4, then it sucks? Pfft, no one knows what a good FPS is anymore.

People are really going defensive on this lol. The demo for me showed me that the game has bad voice acting, bad graphics (that I've seen from every other gameplay trailer also), and average sounds. Gameplay wasn't anything special either.
A demo shows only like 5% of the game but the gameplay in that 5% are basically going to be the same way throughout the whole game. Of course you switch to the rebels were you can play dead and steal guns, but still all of that doesn't grab me into the game.
I'm not "going off of such a slim experience", I'm actually going off of everything I've seen so far on the game. Even the CG trailers explaining the story line were boring to me. He's on the mantel side, he finds out their bad, he switchs sides, try's to stop the actual bad people.. sounds typical to me.
I go based on Graphics, Story, Gameplay, Sound, and online. If any of these are lacking seriously it kind of ruins the game for me. If I'm playing a game with crazy graphics and the sounds sucks I really don't like it.
Now for the guy calling me a 360 fanboy down there, your a dumbass cause don't even own a 360, or any other console besides my ps3.
And just like other people are saying, a demo is mean't to show you whats in store for you in the full game. Why would someone buy or rent the full game if they didn't see anything they liked in the demo?
Anyways its just my opinion ^_^.

You know, I'm tired of all the Halo Fanboys out there. It's really getting old. I have all both a 360 and a PS3, and let me tell you, I like the FPSs on the PS3 better than the 360. Come on guys, Halo was good when it first came out, but Resistance is more fun long term.
Personally, I'm excited for Haze, I pre-ordered it right after I played the demo.
@ misthero
As far as making or breaking a game via the demo, you're sadly mistaken. There have been plenty of game demos that sucked simply because they are only giving you a taste, not the whole deal. Everyone needs to lighten up and unplug from the mainstream BS the media shoves on us.

are you talking to me? If you are:
I don't even like halo, played the first one and wasn't amazed like other people (at the time I liked Red faction more then halo). And the resistance thing came out of no where, no ones even talking about that.
Your right with saying that some demos suck because they only give you a taste of it, but thats not why I don't like Haze. The reason has more to do with the graphics (which won't change outside of the demo), the sound (which won't change outside of the demo), the gameplay (which won't change outside of the demo), and what I've heard so far out of the storyline. It has nothing to do with "mainstream BS". I can think for myself, thats why I don't look at reviews from websites and magazines. I have my own opinion unlike some.

No, just to the Halo junkies who get on here and post like Halo is the only FPS out there.
PS3 FTW!
I completely agree with you that Halo is mediocre at best and if Haze is looking more appealing even from the demo than Halo ever has been.

i personally loved the demo and going to pick it up. i like it because its not trying to be the next crysis in graphics or next halo in gameplay or multiplayer, its trying to make its own thing and its own name so props, to haze

finally they are actually starting to make ps3 exclusive titles..so the xbox people will shut up...they think their system is all big n bad with their red ring of death...haze rocks..and you should never judge a game by the demo...its like never judge a book by its cover..

I didn't judge the book by its cover.. I actually read the first chapter and nothing caught my attention to keep going. Its a boring book to me lol.

» wow, for a ps3, theres quite a lot of shooters
and counting my shooters.....i already have 6.
the shooting feel is what makes me like shooters. COD4 by far has the best shooting feel . second is resistance(from my own collect) - solid feel especialy the Carbine
I'd say Haze has a similar if not same shooting feel to RFoM but slightly less satisfying for me only because of the lack of aim assist. mind you the demo was very responsive in that it allowed me to do the most finest little movements.
i said this loads of time, but it justed proved my point that ps3s controls are the most sensitive analogues out there.

Goldeneye N64 best FPS game ever....XD
Getting back to being serious...there's no FPS that
I've enjoyed so far more than Goldeneye N64.
I wish they could remake the game keeping the same
charm or release on the Wii's virtual console.
On topic now...looking forward to "Haze"
