A rubber ducky is not a weapon. Unless it is in context. I just don't know when a rubber ducky can ever be in context as a weapon. The studio behind the psychological thriller Heavy Rain has revealed that objects in the game cannot be used as weapons unless it is within context. So I guess you can only wield Sir Rubber o if you, uh, want to make your assailant go "awwww"? Then you bash him over the head with a vase. In that case... it's a weapon? Seriously though, this makes sense. It's not like you can walk down the street with a chainsaw attacking random strangers in real life. From everything I've seen in Heavy Rain, realism is key. It's not Grand Theft Auto IV, let me tell you that. According to David Cage, boss of the studio behind the game: You could take the bottle, you can take the screwdriver, you can take the chainsaw, you can use different things and use them as a weapon if the context makes it logical. For example, when the guy comes back in, it’s a weapon. But if you’re just in middle the street, no. The philosophy behind it is not like GTA and it’s an open world and I can do whatever, even if it’s silly. You can do whatever makes sense in the context. That’s really our policy. Related Articles:
