Fear 2 - Image 1Just a few more weeks and Alma finally unleashes havoc. Demo-schmemo, you can only go so far with the demo. The wait is almost over because the full game is just about to hit retail.

Just in time for a February 10 release in North America, FEAR 2: Project Origin has now gone gold for all of its platform versions, namely the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. This via press release from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

Meanwhile, we also hear that Europe and Australia will be getting the game just a few days later on Feb 13. Which is a big deal for Aussie gamers, considering that FEAR 2 had had quite a controversy with its getting banned (and unbanned, of course) by the OFLC.

I downloaded the demo expecting something special, because FEAR was a pretty good game, and needless to say I wont be buying the game. Everything felt off, the controls and gameplay were slow and tankish, the guns had no punch to them like in FEAR, even the AI seemed worse.

About the only thing they improved on were the graphics, everything else nose-dived

» I need to check out the Demo

Been distracted since downloading it.

A lot of people I've talked to recently who downloaded both RE5 and the FEAR 2 demos were in the camp of:

"I was expecting greatness from RE5 and nothing but "meh" from FEAR 2; but, since I played both, I'm more "meh" in regards to RE5 and very excited about FEAR 2"

Since I was slightly disappointed in the clunkiness of RE5 but I've never been into the game, I've been told I should definitely check this out. First one was good.
