PlayStation Home, after being revealed by Phil Harrison at the 2007 Game Developers Conference, became one of the most ambitious projects by the Sony to deliver onto a console yet. Probably establishing itself as the first epitome in the Age of Connected Consoles, the idea of a virtual online world didn't actual start off from the PlayStation 3 age. |

can anyone say xbox live/arcade.....?
an idiot
Can you say free yet better?
if you think you can even compare home to xbox live arcade, think again.
live arcade- download arcade games, and chat
home- an entire virtual life! this includes arcade games, chat, making and customizing your own 3d character, BUILDING YOUR OWN HOUSE and customizing it, inviting up to 16 people to your house, streaming audio and video in your virtual house saved on the hdd, a virtual trophy room, and games that are 3d and have way better graphics than arcade games.
compare that *****!
its FREE!
F * U * C ¨* K * MII PLAZA!!
saying Xbox Live/Arcade means something to you? or is that comment directed at your ignorance towards the subject of "A good idea born before it's time".
does any one no wen the first rials fo home are
http://www.homebetatrial.com/
its free and better than anything xbox live has to offer
Home is going to be great. Clans are going to be able to discuss tactics in a apartment with maps on the wall. Then all go to the game, and run what they just discussed. Try that on xbl. This is where it is at. Not just a bunch of tabs to slide through. Oh boy thats fun!
imagine playing as ryu from ninja gaiden in home and fighting in the street or snake from mgs4 or running around as sonic or or or......
This WILL be more "fun" than xbl
this home could be used in so many ways because you can share info over in one area to everyone quickly and easily on a sony bravia!
I own both a PS3 and X360. There is no comparison between Live Arcade and Home. Live Arcade is just a stripped down webpage. I say stripped down because there are alot of websites that look and have a lot more features than Live Arcade. I mean how long did it take to come up with that? However, I will say this Sony needs to get Home completed because as far as X360 vs PS3 console management interfaces goes. X360 beats the dog crap out of PS3. Sony need to figure out a way to stream my music from my computer to my PS3 while I'm playing a game. I mean how freaking hard is that!? Sony developers... it's called Samba dumb#*@(S it's been out forever. Then to make an OS multitask, like background downloads. Come out this isn't a cool new feature. This should be standard on any device that was made in the last 2 years. Even on my cheapo W810i cell phone I can do anything on my as while talking on not. Don't get me wrong I love my PS3 I just think there are some basic features that are missing. Yeah it's great I can store my MP3s and what not but I want them on my computer. That's the entire reason I bought the computer! Oh and what about the RSS features from the PSP!? Why can't you port that to PS3? I mean what the hell are PS3 developers thinking!? I guess it's like this a PS3 is like an pre 90s Ferrari. Yeah it's fast as hell and will beat anything on the road, oh what is that? A door handle well you use this piece of rope. Stereo? You have a V12 what do you need stereo for? Air conditioner? What was it that Jeremy Clarkson said? Like a mouse coughing on you? Like this, perfect comparison, Xbox 360 = Jaguar XJ220, PS3 = Ferrari F40. Do you wanted the fastest or do you what a car that is basically going to go as fast as you want with all the features. Ok I'll shut up, all I'm saying is put my stereo and AC in my freaking car and don't act like it's a "special new feature."
Background downloads have been enabled in the latest firmware.
Feel so sorry for the 360 users again (including me, but I am getting a PS3 soon and selling my 360) because even with free online and free HOME, they still have to pay for Xbox Live. I am sure the friends list will change dramatically so that you can access it via the PS Button and then scroll to something like 'HOME Friends' and then interact and invite them to your game or invite them to your Space.
When do Xbox 360 get upgrades LOL, Sony's firmware always has upgrades like the Sony PSP. I guess the war is becoming clear and that Sony may win.... again
