It's not so bad when films have game versions. But we have to sometimes remember that even if movies turn out to be really good on-screen, it's not necessary that they fare the same way as game adaptation. 

As for the upcoming Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy (Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3), it might just be one of the few games that would succeed as a game title according to Rory McGuire from High Moon Studios.

In a short interview, McGuire said that they've spent thousands of hours watching the films just so they can get the camera angles, pacing and feeling right. They didn't want gamers to aimlessly wander in the game being unable to figure out what to do next.

Sewing in elements such as the pace and cinematics are key in making players move in the game. McGuire noted that in the game's camera angles, they wanted to make it feel like there was a cameraman behind Bourne all the time.

Camera angles will be changing according to whatever situation the player is in, from running to fist fights. Espionage missions won't be the same if not for the action-packed car chase scenes.

For the game adaptation, McGuire said that the Bourne movies weren't focused on speed but rather on quick turns, quick decisions and dodging cops. So expect the same style to be used in the game as well.
