He is over the top. he is blinded by some kind of fanatical crusade he will hurt everybody.
His tactics everybody agrees are infantile and off the tracks but his media exposure will eventually deliver fruit that bad for gamers. The saying goes that there cannot be smoke without fire. The fire in this case is not really a big thing but with all of this media exposure over violence etc he will eventually start waking people up to a fact that there is violence in video games. That the violence is more often than not of the same variety as most marvel comics that all ages can read will go unnoticed as the media has a tendency to exploit particular scenes or phrases which when on there own make a very biased picture of what our younger members of the community are doing in there spare time. Sadly it is human nature to look for a scapegoat when we fail in doing something right. If a child becomes abusive or drops out of school or gets into fights it is so easy to get some slick lawyer to blame it on games.
Instead of gamers stating how lame this guy is we should consider ways to counter the backlash that will come. One example would be to have some kind of user profile, myself I am 49 I am married have an 18 year old son and we both play games. I am a working tax paying individual who has not been to prison and I do need to go out on a friday night to relive Halo or Stranglehold in the real world. We need to ensure that when people begin to make decisions about what we may see, may play etc that they are aware that a very large section of the gaming community is responsible people. Those that flip out into neverland and do things that are not socially acceptable would have done these things regardless of whether they had an xbox or Playstation. Their problems are personal and not fueled or created by game developers and their respective console production companies.
