That peek of Resident Evil 5 ( PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) assured Japanese fans in the latest issue of Famitsu is out. While some assumed that we'd see a trailer of sorts, what we discovered was actually game producer Jun Takeuchi showing actual gameplay and explaining some key parts of development.

In the video below, you'll see a playable version of Resident Evil 5 on an Xbox 360. Notice also that a PlayStation 3 lies in the background all the time. As usual, Chris Redfield stars in this exhibition, touring villages and engaging in gunplay.

Takeuchi mostly discussed how lighting is one of the areas given attention to in development. He says that this aspect lets you experience Resident Evil 5's beauty, then demonstrates the distinction between light and dark conditions in-game. Anyways, you'll have to see the rest for yourselves. Takeuchi, of course, speaks in Japanese, so be ready to read between the lines. Enjoy!
