Of course there is going to be a public beta, I have always said that any game that has an online mode needs to go through a public beta to ensure it works as intended. More on a beta later this year. |

One would think QJ that a Public beta...is actually a Public beta. I think it will be along the lines of the Public Halo 2.5 beta. Sony says that E3 2007 in July is Killzone's coming out party. So, more than likely a Public beta will be announced at E3.
Or, maybe today at the Gamers Day.
My money is on E3.
I also think that Sony is going to wow everybody and make alot of Halo 2.5 players VERY jelous with how complete and how polished the game will be when they show it off for the first time.
I do not play FPS very often....kinda boring to me with a few exceptions over the years. Golden Eye, Medal of Honor, and Resistance.
If Killzone wows like I think it will, THIS will be the turning point in the console war and hopfully make the Trash60 look dated and make the PlumberBoy WeeCube look like Atari.
I know, I know, grafix don't matter...it's the gameplay that matters.
Ya, right, really, you don't say, using that logic, why don't we all just play games made on the Texas Instruments TRS-80? I mean, as long as the gameplay is good, who cares about the block that represents your runner in Olympics right?
No, Plumber Boys, grafix DO matter, they matter alot. Grafix without gameplay is a hollow experience but you need convincing grafix, enemy AI, deformable environments, proper lighting etc. AND good gameplay.
Have fun with your Wee this Mythmass while people with PS3's will be immersed in believable computer generated gameworlds. Yes, even the Crap60/Trash60 players will have some really good games and some more really good looking games also.

All we've seen is the pre-rendered CGI trailer from E3 2005, two years ago.
So like I said, wait until we SEE the game first.

I am not a Xbox 360 fanboy, i don't even own the console, however, i do have a Playstation 3 and i must say that Halo 3 is going to rock when it comes out, so don't diss the 360 because we havn't even seen the finishing product from both game developers.

if they manage to acheive a true destructable enviroment as they have hinted,with a smart level design and a multiplayer of no less than 24+...they would be revolutionizing the genre as destructable enviroments are the true next step

LOL! Do you guys remember the KillZone2 video they released a while ago. They said it was real gameplay but in reality it was just some ***** computer generated video. There is NO way in hell any game on any system even PC that can run and look as good as the KillZone2 video they shown. Sure all games do that, but how many say that it is REAL GAMEPLAY and say that this is what you can expect with the PS3 power etc etc. This game will suck, just like all the PS3 games for the next 10 years. Gaming computers are so *****ing expensive now and so are consoles. The 360 sucks and the Wii? Now WTF is the Wii, actully I don't want to know.
This world is getting so rediculous. House prices here is Australia are shocking, people can't even afford to move out. Can't imagine how bad it is overseas. There are water shortages (Our dam is under 30%) and soon we need to start recycling the *****ing water or shiping it in from other places. Global warming and *****ing world wars continue and nothing is being done about that. Prices of games are getting so high it's just not worth it.
Games are are great way to forget about how *****ing lame life really is. Without good games to keep your mind off the ***** hole we slaves of work live in, what would we do. You know what pisses me off? The *****ing Asians that hunt all the whales and dolphans. The ocean only has a few more years left before all the *****ing fish are wiped out. The Earth will continue living on perfectly fine without us. All us humans do is *****ing breed, ***** up the earth by cutting down trees, killing whats left of the endangered animals, burn all the fossel fuels and ***** up the only thing that keeps us alive the Ozone Layer.
There is no such thing as heven, when you die you are thrown into a hole in the ground and the worms eat you. Or you be burnt and your ashes thrown out making even more polution, even when your dead you ***** this planet up. There is no such thing as God and you are not put on this ***** heap AKA Earth for a reason.
You are born as slaves, you work for 50+ years in a ***** job for what? Nothing. All games have ***** graphics and it's better to shoot somone in real life than in a game. We are not considered intelligent life in this universe, we are considered as a waste of space. You don't control your life, you can't do what you want to do and Bill Gates is a *****ing *****.
Nobody gives a ***** about this planet and the future of our species. People leave it for the next generation do deal with. Are you happy that your kids are going to grow up in a *****ed up world all because people didn't do anything about it. Humans all fight over a thing called Money. WTF is money, do we need it? The prices of oil and petrol are just insane. We are getting ripped off and *****ing the Earth at the same time. Doesn't that just want to make you party? How many fat *****s are there in this world thanks to fast food industries? Fat people make it hareder for other *****s to do daily things such as walking down the street. Fat *****s need big cars, big cars = more fuel = more polution = world is *****ed up faster. While Killzone will probably be the first DECENT game to come out on the PS3, the fact that they're Ok-ing a public beta test makes us 360 owners cackle. Looks to ME like Sony's jealous. And while that may not be the case, having the "Halo Killer" release a public beta after Halo 3's public beta just looks like Sony's pompous ass trying to convince everyone that they're better than Microsoft. Numbers don't lie, people. If Halo is such a tired formula, why has it sold so much better than Killzone? You think Killzone 2 isn't going to be more repetitive crap? It has to be, because it's the same storyline. That's how sequels go. I mean, if you want to talk about recycling, might I bring up your PS3 exclusive Ninja Gaiden Sigma? You want to talk rehash? That's all this game IS. This game is EXACTLY the same as Ninja Gaiden Black for the Xbox, which was a rehash of Ninja Gaiden on the same console. All it has is enhanced graphics, some new moves, and maybe a few new stages. Aside from that, it's the EXACT SAME GAME, and I mean VERBATUM. Storyline's the same, character is the same, levels (aside from the new ones) are the same (just with better graphics). I mean, if you want to talk rehash, I think you PS3 losers take the CAKE on that one.
All of you and the whopping other 250,000 PS3 users can go ahead and wait for your precious Killzone 2. But i guarantee you that Halo 3's first month of sales will blow away Killzone 2's first month, even IF you include the sales from people buying PS3's to play the game.

I guess that's why so many buy the MGS series, the GT series, the RE series etc. They are all morons who know nothing about games and only follow everyone else.
Or...and this is just an idea...maybe, just maybe, there is something great in those game series which gamers enjoy (even if YOU don't), and that includes Halo.
I'm not a MGS fan, but I'm not going to claim it sucks or that everyone who buys MGS4 are morons for doing so, because I can appreciate what's great in the MGS series, even though it doesn't appeal to me personally.
So to say Halo 3 will be recycled garbage purchased by morons, only makes you out to be the moron, not the fans of the Halo series.
I also agree with Yawn above. People should wait until the see K2 before acting like it's going to be the greatest game ever. This happened with Killzone ("OMG, it's going to use Nurbs"), and we saw how that turned out. I'm sure Killzone 2 will be very polished, and perhaps it may be a great game, but I'm going to wait and see like other sensible gamers.

as i have said before these graphics are nothing compared for the future things that will come for ps3, but when they show you in e3 2007 the surpassed game over the trailer, then i will tell you what i told you the supercomputer in the ps3 alone could easily surpass these graphics for the e3 2005 trailer, and then you will look really stupid like i told you, you think killzone graphics are so great that the ps3 cant do them, that wont be the tip of the iceburg for the ps3, and you say pc cant do graphics like that thats because the design of the ps3 is completely different than any other pc or console ever, sony built the machine so that the games would be indistinguishable with the cutscenes, and the thing is that statement was made when the ps3 was only gonna have the cell, yeah you see the ps3 can be ps3 with just cell and blow everthing away, cause its a supercomputer, a movie maker, cg maker, and then sony went even further than that and included things that supercomputers dont have, and thats a gpu and if you go to N4G.com check Kevin and Huntersvilles posts and you will see that the ps3 is verymuch capable of things very much graphically impressive than killzone 2 e3 2005 trailer, you can even go to youtube type in ps3 teck demos, and they were built on prototype ps3s and were putting out more impressive graphics than things currently shown for anything, also that is the reason sony included blue ray, another thing supercomputers dont have, before you say ps3 cant do killzone graphics, remember until you see a movie that is really in the 4d era, you wont see the brink of ps3s power, you will find out soon that ps3 will never max out, and why sony said the next gen dont start til they say it does, and that didnt mean for competition against the 180 only, it also meant for pc, although ps3 is still in a console category doesnt mean its a console, even though it hooks up to a tv, you forget the thing this early in its lifecycle is running supercomputer applications, this ps3 is something truely really greater than a supercomputer, because it has things that supercoputers dont have, and dont forget rsx and cell synthesis, which i descibe more deeply in N4G.com on my profiles, which are, if you want to log in as me use:
