PSP PS3 - Image 1I can hardly keep track of all the new games SCEA's planning to bring to E3, and already they're promising to show off even more? Whoa. Ok, so there's LBP PSP, MotorStorm, Heavy Rain, GoW 3, Uncharted 2... etc. etc. etc. And that's just half the battle yet!

Echoing words he himself spoke just last month, PSP brand manager John Koller once again proclaims that we haven't seen the end of all these announcements just yet. He's optimistic about them having one heck of an E3 spectacle.

Yes, Sony's going to be revealing more of their PSP and PS3 2009 lineup come E3, but it looks like they'll be making announcements of those new games even before the conference hits in June! Here's what John Koller said:

It’s going to be a big E3. We’ve just started planning what the announcements will be, but I’ve been here for 11 years: this will be one of the larger E3s in terms of software and just discussions about where we’re going from a brand perspective and where each of the platforms is headed.

I think some of the big announcements are going to come of the software side. We talked a bit at Destination PlayStation, and came out with about half of the PSP line-up, maybe even less, and the balance we’re going to be talking about in the months leading up to e3 and at E3,” he said. The same goes for PS3. There’s a really strong line-up of games that’s going to help drive a lot of business.

True enough, they've already just announced a brand new title headed for the PSP: that new SOCOM game! And just the other week, a new Jak & Daxter game too!

If this year doesn't push the PS3 ahead of the Xbox 360, then it is impossible. I have never seen so much effort to push a hardware.

If the sales are still low after this year, then people can't be helped.

 » well..

at this point I thnk the only thing that will sell ps3s is a price drop, no matter how many great games they release

You've got to take into consideration today's economy, sure it might be getting better, but it's not how it was before, so you should always take off around 50% of what is expected to be sold.

Yes, a PS3 Price Drop would help, but the problem is, Sony lose money on every PS3 they make. They could drop the price of the PSP, that way it could get more people's attention.

why does koller keep on talking about future tittles this is probably how their gonna strech it one game comes out summer 2nd comes out christmas and 3rd comes out next year. Koller is just saying this to comfort all psp/ps3 owners. Sony is like nintendo and how they only give us a new zelda game every one year.

they got patapon 2 and infamous coming out next month. do you want them to announce these already announced games? Either make a valid point or don't post

jrsmaster411: I think what Link75e is trying to say is, Sony needs to stop hyping their own releases with 'ITS GONNA BE BIG' without any actual details. They've said it once. We heard them. They dont need to keep mouthing the same mantra again and again. People who are waiting for it already are waiting. Everyone else could give a flying leap.

Makes it seem more like they are just trying to make their release list seem epic by reposting the same 'COMING SOON' hype until our heads explode. I love my PSP, and I want to see what they have in store for it, but I'd rather they just got on with it.
