PS3 Xbox 360 Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 from Konami - Image 1

As a minor update to the Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (PS3, Xbox 360) patch, Konami, who previously refused to give comment about the rumors, finally gives us the lowdown - a quick changelog, if you will. First things first: just in case you missed it, while the PS3 patch was seen earlier, the Xbox 360 version is already available as well.

The official statement of Konami confirms that the patch is indeed addressing the lags plaguing the game, whether online or offline, as well as slowdowns reported by other users. As for the PS3 version of the patch, it also incorporates some bug fixes relating to the problem of downloading the game to the PS3's hard drive.

We hear that, despite already downloading the patch (for the PS3, at least), some issues are still prevalent, however, Konami's only statement is that they will continue looking into further support and software maintenance as they go along.

How hard can it be to create a lag free online experience in a sport game?
I downloaded the patch (360) but the lags are still there. I dont consider this
game to even be playable online, how am I supposed to steal a ball that isn't
even where I see it on my screen? Thanks a lot Konami, I was really looking
forward to this years release of PES, but you let me down.... again!

Makes you wonder what the hell they were doing for a whole year. I guess
the profit is huge if nobody is working on the title except for the guy who
made the cover (bad job by the way).

 » Minor patch

I downloaded the patch for the PS3 version, the offline mode seems to be running fine in comparison with before( some replays still lag a bit)

The online mode is improved slightly but still sucks BIG TIME!
