Ubisoft announced today that Kristen Bell would be appearing as a new character in Assassin's Creed (PS3, Xbox 360). According to the report, Bell will play a key character for the game, playing an important part in the game's storyline.

Said Bell about her new role, "I was a big video gamer growing up, so working on Assassin’s Creed is my chance to be a part of video game history.... I look forward to seeing what my character will look like and I can’t wait to play the game and see if I can beat it!"

Assassin's Creed producer Jade Raymond was excited about the prospect of seeing Bell in the game. "Kristen Bell is a remarkable actress who was able to bring her character to life in a dynamic way that I don’t think anyone else could have done properly," notes Raymond. "Her professionalism and dynamic personality were a perfect fit for this project."

Assassin's Creed is set for a November 13 release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
